Chapter 3

Few Days later
Damari Torres

*Bang bang bang* is all I hear from the front door

"Bruh it's to early for this" I groaned checking the time and it was 5:53 in the morning

Whoever this is better have a good ass explanation on why they at my door step at this time a morning

I got outta bed opening up my room door and walked downstairs

*Bang bang bang*

"Damn can y'all wait" I had my gun tucked on my side just in case

When I opened the door I was face to face with my mom who had looked like she was beaten

a/n: why tf she always beat up??🤣 im reading it for the first time after two years yall i'm just as shocked as y'all i was gonna change the whole thing but nahh

I put my gun down

"Mama" I quickly grabbed her before she could fall

I sat her on the couch and examined her

"Mama what happened, how you got here?" I mumbled while touching her face as softly as I could

She didn't say anything so I ran upstairs and woke Niya up telling her to put on some clothes quickly

I threw on some grey sweat shorts, a plain white tee and my Champion slides grabbing my keys and phone off of the dresser and rushed back downstairs

"Niya bruh lets go damn" I yelled

She came downstairs fast I told her to open the door

I picked up my mom and walked outside unlocking my car door and gently placing her in the front seat before running back and locking the house up

Niya sat in the back confused

"Mari whats wrong with auntie?" she asked

"Ny please just be quiet we're going to the hospital" I sternly said

13 minutes later

We finally made it and I told Niya to go get a doctor

They came running back and placed her on the gurney rushing into the er room

"I'm scared what happened?what if she die?what if sh-"

I cut her off "she's not going to die okay"

We both sat down and she laid on my shoulder and prayed

After a while I got up and called Chris and Khi telling them to come to the hospital and they both were on the way

A couple minutes passed and in came Chris

"Yoo what the fuck, where my mama at ?" he yelled

"Aye Chris over here" I directed

My mom is the mother of everyone. Chris mom was a deadbeat she left him at the hospital and he was placed in the system and Khari he isn't on good terms with his parents after they kicked him out at the age of twelve.

So my mom stepped up and became the mother they both never had

He walked over and we brotherly hugged for a little minute

"She gon be fine alright" he pulled apart

About 15 minutes later Khi came in and we dapped up and everything

"What happened" Chris and Khi asked in unison

"Man I don't even know all I know is I heard banging on the door I went to get it and she was standing there about to pass out I caught her then I asked what happened she ain't say nothing so I rushed here" I rubbed my head
