"i'm telling you, lucy, there was an attractive... male... person today at marcel's." i say to my roommate as she sits on our sofa. i'm pacing around in front of her, telling her everything that happened.
"my god, y/n, don't be so awkward when you say it. just say, 'i saw a cute guy at marcel's." lucy gets a LOT more attention from guys than myself. she always wakes up with a new guy next to her every saturday morning. at this point, she's probably slept with every guy within a 3 kilometer radius from our flat.
"okay, fine. i saw a cute guy at marcel's." lucy's face lights up at this.
"what did he look like?" she crosses her legs and puts her chin on her fist, ears all in.
"well..." i begin, "he had more of a muscular body type." i try to continue but i'm interupted by lucy oohing and ahing. "shh! i'm not finished yet!" she playfully rolls her eyes and motions me to keep talking. "he had blonde hair, and the most green eyes i've ever seen."
"gah! he sounds hot." i smirk. "what's his name?" she asks me.
"i wish i could tell you." lucy frowns. "you don't know his name? does he know yours?" i shake my head quickly. lucy stands up from the sofa, so we're face to face. "how are you supposed to get in contact with him?"
"relax, relax, we're gonna meet up at marcel's tomorrow." a grin slowly grows on her face. "this is just like a rom-com." we both giggle. "what music was he picking out while you were there?" lucy asks me. i smile, giving her a hint.
"no...." she pauses. "he likes queen to?!" i nod my head. after about ten minutes of jumping up and down from excitement, laughing, and telling lucy more things i have in common with the charming stranger, i tell her i'm going to get ready for bed.
"okay, make sure to rest up for your date with record store hottie tomorrow!" i laugh and throw a decorative pillow at her. "night lucy."

i walk into marcel's to see an empty record store, as always. i pray that the handsome stranger will actually show up, considering i tried hard on my appearance this morning. my y/h/c hair is loosly curled into effortless beach waves. a cute denim skirt clings to my waist, topped off with a floral blouse. i feel more confident than usual.
since i already bought the record i was looking for yesterday, i asked lucy if she wanted anything. she requested a "led zepplin" album, and didn't care which one. there i am, back in the rock section, browsing the records when the bell rings.
"hey stranger." i hear from behind me. i turn around to see the man from yesterday, eyes looking even more green. "hey." i smile. "i didn't think you'd show up..." he smirks and moves closer to me.
"what's so funny?" i ask him, generally confused. he pauses before answering "i don't get why you would think i wouldn't want to see a beautiful girl like yourself again." i playfully punch his arm.
"what are you looking for today?" he asks me.
"my roommate wanted me to pick up a zepplin album for her."
"oh, well she has good taste." he says while tucking a stray hair behind my ear. "not as good of a taste as me." i respond, making him chuckle. "you're probably right about that." we browse records in comfortable silence, glancing at each other every time we get a chance.
i feel a hand slide around my waist, and look up at the stranger, smiling. i won't let the physical contact distract me, even though i really want it to.
"agh finally!" i exclaim. "found itttttt." i say in a sing-songy voice. he laughs. the stranger has a nice laugh, i've noticed. "i should probably go now."
"no, no stay! or we could go for a walk in the park." i look down at my shoes and giggle. "there's a good one just across the street."
"alright, fine." i pay for the vinyl, and walk out of marcel's, hand in hand with the charming stranger.
