A point of view (pov) refers to who or what view the story is being told from

Pov first person: it shows the story directly from one character, normally a main character but occasionally from a character who is not a main character but still important to the story line. Pov third person : shows perspective of someone viewing from the outside pretty much. Uses the same words as second person and for type 1 (can't remember the real name of it) it shows the thoughts and feelings of all characters. Type 2 shows the thoughts and feelings of only one character. Type 3 shows the thoughts and feelings of no characters
