Backstory (or some shii)

You were running. you couldn't stop. there was no way you could stop. not yet.

You could feel how cold your breath was, just from breathing heavily and quickly from running. You eyes were filled with tears for what your mother had said to you.

Flashback
"Mom please don't do this" you said while your mother was helping you pack your things quickly and zipping your hoodie up so you wouldn't get cold. Moans could be heard out side the door. "shit" your mother had said. "Mom?" You said worried.

"Baby look at me" she said and grabbed your face gently but firmly so you could look at her. "You run. Don't stop running until you know for a fact you are safe from these things. And just know, that I will always love you and I always have (y/n)-" The moans of the walkers were getting closer and louder.

"M-mom?" You said with more fear in your tone than the last time. "Honey take these" your mother handed you a knife and a letter.

"Mom I love you" you said."I love you too (y/n)." You guys confessed while hugging each other tightly, wishing and praying you could stay like this forever. Suddenly, the walkers were running towards you two. You hear a loud bang from your mother's gun. "Honey RUN!!" and with that, you did. It hurt so much to do so, but you did. All you could hear was gunshots and your footsteps against the grass.

'please, please have mercy on my baby' your mother thought about you while shooting the walkers down.

~Fast forward 10 minutes~
I was sitting on the forest floor sobbing quietly. My reason? my mother's letter.

"Dear my angel, I love you more than anything this world has ever given me. I would die for you to be happy. You are my world, my happiness, my pride and joy, my reason for waking up every morning and continuing living. Just for you my baby. The moment I found out I was pregnant with you, I was in love with you. And when I saw you? Dear god, you are beautiful. You are going to be the champion of the world someday. You are a badass. You are beautiful, amazing, talented, smart, and so much more good than I could ever say in words. No person deserves someone as perfect as you. You are the light of everyone's life, honey. I love you (y/n) -love, mom"

"I love you too Mom" you whispered and choked back on your tears.

End of flashback
"And then you found me" you said with a warm smile. You could hear the radio static roaring into your ear.
"Well damn (y/n)" Carl said over the walkie. You smiled and giggled over Carl's comment. Carl blushed when he heard you giggling. Carl asked what happened before he found you in the woods a few years ago, you were scared to tell anybody, but now you were comfortable with it.

"Yeah but that was a loooong time ago" This had happened about 5 years ago, you were 11 when all of the world had gone to shit. "Yeah, and we were so young too" Carl replied. "I know right? I never got to do so many things" You lowkey were complaining. "Really? Like what?" Said the one eyed boy. "Well, I've always wanted to be in a play, I don't know why but I enjoy it" you admitted. "That's cool, what play?" Asked the boy you loved most in this world. "I-i-it's a b-bit embarrassing." You told. "Oh come on (y/n) I won't judge you" he said. "A-are you telling me the truth?" You said. "Trust me, I don't lie to people I love ok?" Carl said without thinking. You blushed. Hard. "W-Wait you-" you had been cut off.

"(Y/n) get down here!" Yelled out Maggie. "Shit!" You whispered yelled. "Coming Maggie!!" You replied. "What happened?" Asked the teenage boy. "Maggie just called me down, nothing really" you replied. "Oh ok, bye (y/n)" Carl said in the cutest whisper you had ever heard. The walkie talkie's static kind of ruined it but you didn't care. "Bye c-".

"(Y/n)!!" Maggie yelled out again. "S-Sorry be right with you!" You yelled back. Your attention was back on Carl for a moment now. "B-bye Carl" "bye (y/n)" and with that, the conversation had ended. You took a moment to yourself of how lucky you were to have Carl, you swear that you must've done something great in your past life to earn someone like him.

"(Y/n) if I have to call you one more time-" Maggie said only closer to your door. You were Sonic running to the kitchen. "Hi" you said to Glenn and Maggie. Glenn gave you a hug and you hugged back. You guys let go and you sat on the dinner table. "So what you called me down for?" You had asked. Maggie walked up to you with something behind her back. "We got a grill cheese maker" Maggie said with a smirk. "oh my gawh" you said practically in tears. "Wait how?" You questioned. "We were walking around houses and found this good ol' thing and dear god it is the best" said the brunette. "It's beautiful" you whispered. You started to eat your sandwich like there was no tommorow but savored every bite, it was the best.

Then all of a sudden, you hear your "adoptive parents" snickering. You turn your head to them and see Glenn blushing like an idiot. "What's do funny?" You questioned. "You really wanna hear?" Asked Maggie. "Maggie no" pleaded Glenn. "Oh come on Glenn, she's old enough to know" Maggie protested. "F-fine, but I'm not gonna be here when you tell her" Glenn said back while leaving the room.

"So what is it?" You asked for answers. "Well, this happened when you guys came to the farm." Maggie was explaining. "Uh huh" you said, practically hypnotized. "Remember the first time Glenn and I went to the pharmacy together?" "Yeaahh" you said eagerly, wanting to know badly. "We slept together" Maggie said with a smirk on her face. You could feel your face getting red and you were getting a bit embarrassed.

"Oh come on (y/n)! You're old and mature enough!". "O-Oh stop it Maggie!" You said covering up your face with your hands. "Fiinnee, now eat your sandwich" Maggie said with a smirk on her face. You finished your sandwich embarrassingly, put the dishes away, and left to go to your room. 'I should head to Carl's house' you thought to yourself.

You then grab a knife and tied your hair up into a ponytail. You walked down the stairs and into the entrance of the house door. You put on your boots and headed out the door. "And where do you think you're going?" Said a voice behind you. It was Maggie. "I'm going to Carl's house" you quickly responded. ""Oh really?~" she said, teasing you. "Maggie it's not like that" you protested against Maggie's explicit claim.

"You sure (y/n)?~" Maggie had said, teasing you once more. "Cause I read your journal-" you cut her off. "Wait what?" You said with concern and curiosity painted on your face. You have written everyday since the apocalypse had hit. Just in case if one day if the world had gone back to normal, you could tell people about it. Bit then, without even noticing, you kind of turned it into a diary. But still remained it a journal for information and experiences of the apocalypse.

"Oh (y/n), you innocent little girl" she said. "You have that thing just sitting there on your desk, just waiting to be read". "Wait so you know-" you were cut off by Maggie. "Yes
(y/n), I know your feelings about ca-" you cut the brunette off once more. "Sssssshhhhhhh now so loud!" You whispered-yelled at her. "Ok, but I do know" Maggie said whispering to you. "Promise me you won't tell anybody" you pleaded Maggie. "(Y/n), I'm not that kind of person to tell someone's personal stuff" She said with a smirk. "Thank you Maggie" you thanked the brunette with a smile. "No prob (y/n)" Maggie gave you back a smile.

"I'm gonna go now ok?" You said while taking a few steps ahead of where you were. "Ok (y/n), love ya" Maggie responded. "I love you too Maggie". You waved her goodbye and started walking down a few blocks to where Carl was at. You finally got to your destination after a few minutes.

You took a breath in and a breath out. "Ok, I can do this" you said to yourself. You then knocked the door and......
