Chapter 17

"Can we see her?" Tara's mother asks and he nods.

"Room 105." He tells us and we thank him. We get to her room and she has a tube in her mouth and machines attached to her. I put Morgan down and she runs to Tara and holds her hand.

"Tara can you hear me? I forgive you and Peter for breaking your promise." She tells Tara and I start crying. I grab a chair and I pull it up. Tara's mother checks her phone and she looks sad.

"Peter I have to go so I need you to watch Morgan and keep me updated." She tells me and I nod. Morgan sit on my lap and she crys into my shirt. I rub her back and I grab Tara's hand, I decide to sing a song that Tara sang to me when I was always sad.

Morgan falls asleep on me and I put her on the couch in the room. I go back to Tara and i grab her hand again and I start crying. "Tara I don't care where we are anymore I just care that were together." I tell her. "It's my fault this happened. If I would have protected you, you would be fine." I tell her. Tara's mother comes and takes Morgan home and drops off some food for me.

I eat and I fall asleep with my hand sill holding Tara's and my head on the bed. It's been a week and Tara still hasn't woken up. Morgan and her mom come and visit everyday and bring me clothes and food. I have only left Tara's side to fight crime and go to school that's it. "Peter!" Morgan says and hugs me.

"Hey Morgan, how was your day with your mom?" I ask and she sits on my lap.

"Good." She tells me.

"That's good." I tell her and she hugs me.

"Why isn't Tara waking up?" Morgan asks me and I sigh.

"I don't know and I hope she wakes up soon." I tell her.

"Me too." She tells me and lays on me. It's been a few hours and the machines attached to Tara start beeping. I get up and put Morgan in the chair and I run out the room.

"Help we need help!" I yell and a doctor comes. I take Morgan out of the room and bring her to the waiting room while they help Tara. The doctor comes over to us and we get up.

"Is Tara okay?" Morgan asks.

"She is stable again and she is awake." The doctor tells us and Morgan run to her room.

"Thank you." I tell him and I run to Tara's room.

Tara's pov

I open my eye after trying to for what feels like forever and I see a doctor. The doctor tells me what happened and leaves. Morgan comes running in and she hugs me and I hug her back. Morgan starts crying and climbs on the bed. "It's okay I'm here." I tell her and rub her back when Peter comes in. Peter hugs me and then sits down on the chair. He tells me about what happened for the past week and Morgan falls asleep.

Peter calls my mom and she gets here. I talk with my mom and then she leaves and Peter puts Morgan in my mom's car. Peter comes back and I can tell her has been crying and he blames himself. "Peter I'm fine and it wasn't your fault." I tell him and I put my hand on his cheek. Peter puts his hand on mine and he smiles. After a few hours we both fall asleep holding hands.

I wake up and Peter is still asleep. I slowly get up and I start walking to the hall. I'm walking in the hall and I hear crying. I go to the crying and I see a little boy with bruises and cuts all over him. I walk in and the boy look at me terrified. "It's okay. I won't hurt you." I tell him and he calms down a little. I slowly make my way to the boy and i sit on the bed. "My name is Tara. What's yours?" I ask and the boy rubs his eyes.
