Vision

I used to be very confident in how I looked,

That all changed when my face changed,

The beautiful smile I used to wear,

Was gone like people I missed, that took

Every minute out of their day

To care for me, to love me, to be there for

me.

I use my eyes to see everything,

But my eyes don't wanna be open.

My vision is blurry, it all looks fuzzy.

My poems might not rhyme because

I am kind of rusty.

I may be a kid, but my words aren't great.

I open these eyes to see your beautiful face.

I stare at those eyes, admire your smile,

And admire everything about you.

I shouldn't open my eyes,

Because then I wanna look.

I wanna look at the beauty of you.

So, close my eyes.

Don't let me see.

Let me imagine all of these things.
