~Keith’s POV~

This Lance kid is off. I brought up ‘Kuron’ and I guess I must’ve hit a nerve because he stopped talking to me and inhaled all his food before retreating to his room. I do intend to break through this little wall he has built… but first, I need to talk with Kuron…

The next day, I woke up early, cooked breakfast and left some for Lance before going to walk around campus. I look around for a bit before I bumped into a taller man with a rather odd hairstyle.

“Ah, so you’re the one who answered his ad.” The man says, his voice holding a hostility I felt wasn’t necessary.

“Yes, And what about it?”

“Oh, you haven’t heard yet?”

“Heard what?” I snap.

“You’re living with a freak. A man who doesn’t want to be a man. A man who thinks he’s a child.” The man seethes. I look at him.

“Ah, I’m guessing you’re this, Kuron, Lance told me about.” I say, unbothered by anything he said.

“Wh-... yes, that’s me. And don’t ever mention that stupid little bitch’s name around me ever again.”

“What did Lance do to hurt your masculinity so bad?”

“It’s not what the little bitch did to me… it’s what he does on a daily basis. He thinks he’s a baby. And he acts like it too. He sucks on a pacifier and even wears baby clothes! If you can stand living with that waste of flesh, be my guest… if not, just give me a call. I’ll take care of him.” He says with an evil smirk before he walked away. I frown, my hands shaking with rage. How could he hate someone so much? Lance hasn’t done anything wrong… From what he told me, Lance is a little… nothing wrong with that. I bet he’s adorable in little space.

I slap myself to clear my head before I went to the store just a few blocks away from campus, purchasing a coloring book, a large stuffed hippo, and some crayons.

‘I hope this will help him open up to me…’ I think, also purchasing a gift bag and some tissue paper.

As I walked back to the dorms, I stopped at a picnic bench to assemble the gift, writing a small note on the blank tag attached to the gift bag.

I then walked to the dorm and went inside, seeing Lance’s breakfast plate empty but no sign of Lance.

‘He’s probably in his room.’ I think, walking to the door and knocking on it, placing the giftbag down and bolting to my room.

~Lance’s POV~

I hear a knock at my door and slowly open it, peeking around for Keith before I saw a glittery blue bag sitting on the floor outside my door. I raise a brow and grab the bag, sitting on the floor as I started to pull the tissue paper out of it. I giggle softly at the crinkling noises the paper made before I looked inside the bag to see a coloring book, a 64 pack of crayons, with the sharpener on the back, and… wait… is this a trick? I hold my crayons to my chest and look inside the bag, seeing the large, cuddly hippo staring up at me.

‘Who???’ I think, seeing something written on the tag of the bag.

‘It’s okay to be little <3 ~K’ Is what it read.

‘K? Wait… does Keith know now? He ran into Kuron today, didn’t he? He probably thinks I’m disgusting and gross… b-but the tag…’ I look at the tag and smile, grabbing the hippo out of the bag and squeezing it tightly, an unintentionally louder than I meant squeal leaving my throat. I look up, realizing my door was open. My face turned beet red and I slammed the door shut, taking my hippo to my bed with me.

~Keith’s POV~

Oh. My. God… he is so cute… It was so adorable to watch Lance open his gift. And to see how happy he was with the stuffie? Priceless. Maybe I’ll do this again tomorrow.

I cook lunch and plate it, seeing Lance sneak out of his room.

“Morning sleepyhead.” I joke.

“I wasn’t seepin’.” He slurs softly, rubbing his eyes.

“Yeah, uh huh, okay.” I say, chuckling as I set the plates on the table. Lance rolls his eyes and sits down, starting to eat his food. I smile, watching him as he danced slightly, his eyes closed as he enjoyed his food.

I start to eat my own food and smile softly, humming quietly. Once I started humming, Lance opened his eyes and stopped his dancing, his beautiful blue eyes found my indigo ones and I watched as he tilted his head towards me, listening to my humming. I continue to eat, tearing my eyes away from his gaze.

He’s so beautiful, I just wish he could see what I see.

Later that evening, I was sitting in the living room when I heard loud sobs and a thud coming from Lance’s room. I bolted up and ran to his room, opening the door to see Lance dressed in a onesie on the floor, sobbing in his sleep.

“P-Pwease… st-stop… N-no…” He mutters through sobs, his body shaking. I run to him and gently pick him up, wrapping him in a blanket.

“L-Lance… hey buddy, it’s just a bad dream. You gotta wake up.” I whisper, gently running my fingers through his short hair. Lance snaps awake, seeing me and backpedaling into a corner.

“Wh-what are you doing in my room?”

“You fell of the bed and I heard you crying… so I had to make sure you were alright.” I whisper, looking at him. Lance relaxes a bit, then looking down at his body, realising he was in a blanket.

“D-did you see…?” He asks. I blush a bit and nod.

“Y-yes… but you don’t have to worry. I won’t mock or shame you.” I whisper. Lance looks at me, his eyes cautious. I sigh.

“I understand you don’t trust me. But I hope you will grow to… I’d like to be your friend.” I whisper, standing up and leaving the room. I go to the kitchen and start brewing a pot of tea. I then start to cook dinner, humming softly.

~Lance’s POV~

I poke my head out of the room, my robe wrapped around me.

“K-Keef…” I mumble, shuffling to the kitchen where I smelled delicious food cooking. I poke my head into the kitchen, watching Keith quietly. He moved around the kitchen, humming softly. I listen to him humming, the sound of his voice soothing my nerves.
