We both reached the cheese stand and I found the one Mamma, Pappa and I like so I picked it up and paid for it. I watched in fascination on how fast the vendor was able to quickly wrap the cheese in a matter of seconds. Fievel seemed very impressed too as he uttered a wow under his breath making me smile.
I took the wrapped cheese from the vendor and placed it in my basket, then moving to the bread section of the other stand combined with this one. I stopped though and turned to Fievel who was still staring in awe at how fast the vendor was wrapping other people's cheese.
"Fievel are you okay to stay here for a bit until I'm done shopping next door?" I questioned since I spotted Tanya across the street buying some grapes.
"Of course Molly." Fievel agreed as he glanced at me before returning his attention to the vendor.
I nodded and began to walk to the bread stand beside the cheese one, I began to set two loaves of bread inside my basket and I paid for it. I glanced at the list and found that all I needed was some crackers, fruit, and noodles that I can get at Pappa's restaurant. I was very satisfied that I was almost completely finished with the list of things Mamma gave me for food.
Turning to head back to the cheese stand where I left Fievel, I began to walk over there and found Fievel talking to a mouse my age. The mouse seemed to be making fun of him and it made me upset because I thought of Fievel as a little brother to me. I quickly made my way over there and made sure I wasn't seen just yet.
"Fievel," I said placing my free hand on his shoulder and glancing down at him. "Is this mouse bothering you?" I questioned nodding my head to the other mouse.
"No! This is my friend Tony!" Fievel exclaimed as he looked up at me and then to Tony.
I too looked at Tony only to find him staring at me with a weird smile on his face. I took my hand away from Fievel's shoulder and placed it in front of me and towards Tony, as I gave him a warm smile and introduced myself to him.
"Hello Tony, I'm Molly Small."
Tony looked at my hand and shook it weakly and his smile intensified more, which made me slightly concern for his mental health. I took my hand away when the handshake went on for too long and he seemed to realize that as well because he scratched the back of his neck nervously.
"Sorry, I'm Tony friend of Filly's over here." Tony started nodding to over at Fievel who seemed to watch Tony with a small smirk.
"Filly?" I questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh, yeah! That's what I call him, a nickname." He said kind of explaining it to me which I nodded along to.
He seemed to zone out again as he stared at me, I once again worried more about this pour mouse mental health. I look at Fievel then leaned down towards his ear and whispered worriedly.
"I think your friends sick maybe you should take him to see a doctor."
"Yeah, I will." Fievel agreed and grabbed onto Tony's wrist and began dragging him away. "Come on Tony we're taking you to the doctors," Fievel said to his friend.
"What? Okay." Tony replied not even seeming to grasp what Fievel said which made me giggle because he was still looking at me weirdly. "See ya around Mols!" Tony called out as he was dragged away by Fievel.
I watched until they were out of sight and once they were I giggled behind my hand, and then turned around and began walking to where Tanya was still across the street but this time at a watermelon cart. I shook my head in amusement as I imagined the mouse being dragged by a much smaller mouse then himself.
"What a strange mouse," I muttered to myself.
"Molly they have good prices over here!" Tanya called out with excitement.
"Coming!" I said and quickly ran up to the girl.
