I wish I knew

I wish I knew the girl,

Who smiled for no reason?

Who enjoyed the world,

And every season.

But I guess she died,

Within despair,

Because every night she cried

And no one is there.

Now her body rots within the ground

Her family’s heart is broken

Her soul was slowly found

And then she was awoken.

Her hand reached up towards the sky

Her eyes open wide

Floating up high.

Beyond the clouds, where she could hide.

Warm welcoming hands

Reach out towards her tiny soul

Then suddenly, Earth is where she lands

And once again, her heart is whole.

Her new love joined her side

With loving hands and gentle smiles

Even knowing that he lied,

She would never walk away from him.

Not for a million miles.

Oh, how I wish I knew the girl

That was strong enough to laugh.

Who would walk for a whole mile?

With nothing changing her path.

She will never go back to her passed life,

No matter what options she’s given.

For now she is a loving wife,

Who will keep on living.
