Blackness falls upon us.
Lights flicker Bright.
A man screams out a terrible cuss,
For this is my every night.
Eyelids begin to close,
Whilst others begin to open.
They begin to talk to their friendly foes,
Then the beast is suddenly awoken.
It screams in their ear,
Bites at their skin.
Then suddenly you’ll hear,
Its terrible twin.
Pull your coat close around you.
It will protect you from its fangs.
Even though it is icy blue,
At least you won’t hang.
The warmth will take you into a loving embrace.
Covering your being, head to toe.
It will cover you in immaculate lace.
But it will never swoop you down low.
Cry out to your lover’s hand.
Let him take you into his home.
For this is now your man.
That will never leave you on your own.
Sit by the burning fire.
Warm up your frosted finger tips.
Let him come up from behind you,
And softly take you by the hip.
His passionate touch will burn you up.
He will hold you close to his chest
His lips will touch yours.
And every night, he will try his best.
Let your eyes wonder.
Up to the night sky.
Then start to ponder
About how to get that high.
