Dad gaped. "But-but Isla!" "I'm sorry," my mother said. "I should have told you. Now Anwen is also a witch." Dad just stared. "Why?" he managed to say. I jumped into the conversation by saying "Mom, can we just go to Diagon Alley  and get my supplies?" Mom sighed. "Sure. Lets let dad... adjust."

Soon enough, we were at the brick wall to Diagon Alley. Mom tapped the code on the bricks and the wall opened over my short stature.

I felt faint. There was wizard shops lining the cobbled streets and in the horizon I could see the shadow of Gringotts. I could already see the wand shop. I was overwhelmed with excitement.

"First," my mother said, "We are going to get you a wand."  I ended up with an english oak wood with a dragon heartstring core, 10 ¼" and slightly springy flexibility. My mother smiled. "I have a sycamore wood with a dragon heartstring core, 10 1/4" and brittle flexibility."

"OK," mom said. "Time for books." We purchased all the books on the list and then we went to the pet store. I walked out with a Ragdoll cat, who had a glossy coat. I decided to name him Balfour.

Mom decided to get a treat, so we went to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, except there was no Florean Fortescue, because it was the year of 2080. Soon enough, we were on Platform 9 and 3/4.
