"GET OUT, YOU DISGRACEFUL CHILD! HAVE YOU NO SHAME? SPREADING SICH LIES AROUND! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU COULD HAVE DONE TO THIS FAMILY?!" My mother screamed, standing above my beaten body, glaring with so much hate in her eyes that I bowed my head and curled into myself
"But they aren't lies." I barely whispered before my father came rushing towards me with that devil of a man behind him. I shivered when he smirked his ugly face and checked me from head to toe. I barely stopped the bile from rising in my throat and spilling onto the cream-coloured carpet of our living room.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" My father bellowed raising his hand before striking me in the face. I went flying to my right and hit my head on the edge of the side table by the couch. My hand cupped the right side, just above my forehead to feel warm blood dripping down the side of my face. Fear and disbelief racked my body as I stared at the once caring man who raised me and gave me life.
When I glanced into his once, soft green eyes, they showed regret and remorse for hurting his child before they harden and gripped me by the back of my neck. He dragged across the living room floor towards the entrance of our house and threw me out the door. He, my mother and that disgusting human trailed outside and looked down at me.
"You are no longer our daughter, you hear. Get your ass off our property and never return or else." He sneered down at me. I felt tears pool in my eyes as I meet his; the very man I considered my hero stare at me with an absent minded look. My mother no better.
"But I'm not lying. Please, believe me." My father's stare hardened before he took a step towards me. I whimpered and curled in on myself once again. Never looking up once, I could feel the hate stemming of them and felt a whimper leave the throat at how pure it felt.
My father let out a huff before turning on his feet and stomping back to the house. My heart dropped at his dismissal before I glance at my mother. She held her head up high before following her husband.
"I told you, no one would believe you. Who would believe a stupid little girl like yourself over a well-respected man in this community? No one that's who." He cackled whilst crouching next to my defeated form. He caresses my face with a disgusting smirk on his face and dark gleam in his eyes, making me shudder and curl in even more.
"It was nice whilst it lasted, little one. Wish we could've done more but you just had to open your mouth didn't you?" He shook his head whilst raising from the ground, just as my father returned with a backpack that he threw at me.
"I have called Marcel. He will take you out of my sight and far away from this neighbourhood. I never want to see your face again, you hear me?" My father said, voice devoid of any emotion before calling his best friend back to his side.
They left me there for who knows how long shivering from the cold and in pain due to my injuries. I didn't even know I was crying until the tears seeped into the cut on my cheek. My gently dabbed at the moisture in the cut but the pain in my heart wouldn't stop the sobs from racking my body.
Shining lights came from behind before I heard Marcel's voice in my ear. He managed to help me off the ground, grabbing my backpack whilst he was at it, and slowly dragged my body to the sleek black Mercedes.
He gently deposited me in the back before buckling me in. With my eyes closed, I realised a sigh and leaned against the cool surface of the tinted window. I felt car moving and Marcel's voice drifting through the air but I wasn't really paying attention.
With a heavy heart, I opened my eyes and watched as the house I grew up in slowly, but surely, shrink in the distance. Raising my bloodied fingers, I caressed the view of my house as we left and let out another sob.
I will still love you. Even if you never believed me.
