Kara wasn't really the type of girl that goes to bars, where men can get all personal with her and make her feel uncomfortable, but today she was very stressed from all the work she had been doing at catco and the deo.
She got off work and she decided that she was going to blow off some steam at a new bar that opened last week close to her apartment and she hadn't been there before, so she wanted to check it out.
She needed to have one or two drinks before she could actually talk to anyone because as everyone knows, kara danver's game wasn't that great while sober, she would get very flusterred trying to flirt with people, especially girls so she would end up saying something stupid and them leaving. So, yea she definately needed to get some alchohol in her system if she wanted anything to happen.
After two whiskeys on the rocks she wasn't feeling too drunk, maybe it was because she was supergirl but she was definately feeling more confident. As she turned her chair around so she could take in her suroundings and check out the people her eyes immediately fell on a woman. Her hair was black and silky, her lips had the colour of fire and her eyes felt like they were burning just by looking at them. She was wearing a breathtaking tight black dress which was making kara fell some kind of way. She was pretty sure that she was the most beautifull woman she had ever seen and she couldn't stop looking at her. What made her anxious was the fact that the woman was talking to a very handsome tall guy, she was definately being friendly towards him but kara couldn't quite figure out if the guy had the same intentions. All of a sudden the woman looks up in kara's direction and kara's breath hitches as they make eye contact. Then she turns to the guy and he whispers something on her ear but kara can't really tell what he says. Kara then looks back at her again and this time the woman is heading over to the bar where kara is sitting. kara quickly turns back around breaking the eye contact. The woman approaches the bar and asks the bartender for a drink pretending not to see kara sitting right there. After she gets her drink she turns to the side and says "hey", kara freezes but she quickly snaps out of it an spits out a nervous " hi". "I saw you looking at me" says the woman, she extends her hand and says "i'm lena by the way, nice to meet you" flashing her a bright smile. Kara quickly takes her hand into hers and shakes it "kara" she says "it's nice to meet you too". "Is this seat taken?" lena asks "do you mind if i sit?". "No it's not, of course you can sit" says kara. She can feel the intense stare that lena is giving her and she can't help but notice her eye colour , they're green and she seems even more beautiful if that was even possible, she feels her heart rate pick up and she looks away trying to calm down. It doesn't take long though before they get into a conversation and they both talk on and on comfortably like they haven't just met.
It also doesn't take much convincing for kara to get to lena's apartment. As they come inside lena says "make yourself at home i'll go get some beers and some popcorn and we can watch a movie", it's like they've done this a hundred times before. Even though they met like three hours ago they seem to be completely comfortable with each other. Kara relaxes on the couch as she waits for lena to get the beers and popcorn and tries to find a good movie they can watch. When lena finishes she gets on the couch and covers herself and kara in a blanket not really close enough to touch but still pretty close.
Kara takes a better look of the interior of the house and realises how big and modern it looks and wonders how expensive it was. Once they agree on a movie to watch they grab their beers and dive into the popcorn finishing it in a couple of minutes.
The movie is halfway finished and they find themselves getting closer and closer by the minute, so by the end of the movie they are cuddling and lena is half asleep on top of kara which doesn't really seem to bother neither of them. kara is wide awake though, fully aware of their position and she can't help but look at lena's beautiful features, she really is beautiful. Her lipstick has wared off by now from drinking beer and eating popcorn and she looks more innocent and sweet than she looked at the bar. As they were sitting in the same position and with the movie having finished a couple of minutes ago, some random chanel was playing on the tv and lena was fast assleep. Kara noticed that lena was still wearing that black dress and she thought that it wasn't the most comfortable thing to sleep in but she didn't want to wake lena up. But without wanting to she accidentally moved her arm and lena let out a yawn and opening her eyes she realised their current position and shot up surprised. "Sorry" lena said, she had a slight blush on her cheeks, kara giggled thinking it was cute "it's ok, you seemed pretty comfortable so i didn't want to bother you" she said. Lena smiled shyly and looked at the clock on the wall, she realised the time had passed. "It's getting pretty late" she said. "Oh you're right i should get going" kara said and got off the couch. "You can stay if you want" lena proposed "you shouldn't walk alone at this time", kara surprised answered "I wouldn't want to bother you lena, it's ok i can handle myself", "you won't be a burden kara but, as you wish, although, i would like to hang out again, if you don't mind giving me your number" lena said with a bright smile. "I would like that too" she replied. So after exchanging numbers kara left lena's apartment.
When she got home she had a shower and laid on her bed feeling fairly tired. She couldn't stop thinking about lena and how well they got along , it was like they knew each other for a long time. She started drifting off and she felt warm thinking about lena's lips and her beautiful emerald green eyes, she made a mental note to text her tomorrow.
[The next morning]
The light was shining through the window right onto kara's face and after a while she slowly opened her eyes blinking and yawned. She got up, it was 9 in the morning but she wasn't worried about being late because it was saturday so she didn't have to go to work. She picked up her phone and decided to text lena.
Kara: "Hey, good morning it's kara"
"i was wondering if you would like to have breakfast?"
As she waited for lena to answer she went to the bathroom and washed up, when she finished she picked up her phone and saw that lena had texted her back
Lena: "I would love to have breakfast"
"Meet me at the city's cafe at 10?"
Kara: "ok see you there"
Kara smiled to herself and she got dressed and ready to go. She got to the cafe and she saw lena sitting in one of the tables so she approached her.
"Hey" she greeted , "hi kara, please sit" lena replied with a smile.
And so they ordered breakfast, they ate and talked about random things. It was now 12 pm and kara proposed that they go for a walk. The were walking fo some time now, a comfortable silence between them until kara spoke up "how about you tell me something about yourself, like what is your profession?". "I am a business woman, i own a company, L-corp", " L-corp" Kara asked surprised "Does that mean your last name is Luther?"
"Yes my full name is lena Luther" she said worried that kara was going to think different of her, because whoever she met treated her differently when they found out who she was and she didn't want the same to happen with kara. "Well no wonder your apartment was huge and modern, you own a freaking company" kara said beeming. "Ha, yea i'm pretty rich" she said jokingly but she was relieved kara joked about it too. "What do you do kara?" "Well, i'm a reporter at catco magazine and a part time photographer", " whoa catco is like the most popular magazine in all of national city" lena said impressed. That's a first, it's not easy for people to impress lena. "Yeah", kara said flustered." You shouldn't be impressed by me though, you're lena Luther, you're pretty impressive yourself" she said giggling, lena smiled. After some more walking they got to know each other a little more. "I wish i could spend the whole day with you but unfortunately i have a meeting at about half an hour so i should probably get going" lena explained. "Oh it's ok" kara said, "i will have probably finished by 9 pm so if you don't mind we could go to the bar again and have a drink", lena added " i don't see why not" kara answered "alright meet me at the bar at about..10, how does that sound?", "ok i'll see you there" kara said. Lena went in for a hug and kara gladly hugged her back and then they parted ways.
[9 pm]
Kara had just showered and she was trying to figure out what to wear, she looked through her closet and decided on wearing a black outfit some jeans, a blazer and a suit and she put on a silver chain on her neck to pop with all the blackness and topped it off with her black vans. She blowdried and straightened her hair and she was ready to go.
