Pt. 1 : Out in The Bamboo Forest

Y/N : It's been 2 days after moving to Sooga Village, and it's much fresher and peaceful than Tokyo. My new pet panda, (pet name), is starting to get hungry.
I thought as I dressed up in my new everyday dress.
I strolled around the town until I found a small crowd of bamboo, knowing there would be more. I held my basket and walked on the path, being so excited about the new fresh bamboo that (pet name) could eat!
After picking out 5 small bamboo pieces, I set out to find more, until I laid my eyes on a small house surrounded by a tall bamboo circle. I needed help finding 5 more, and would like some company, so I knocked softly after gathering up confidence.
That wasn't loud enough, I thought.
As I was about to knock a little bit more harder, the door opened. I put my fist down and held my basket. There was a person wearing pigtails and a black and red ninja-like outfit, I suppose.
"Uh, hi-! Sorry if I am bothering you but I need help finding some bamboo, but you don't have to.", I projected. No answer, just a nod of agreement. He walked out and closed the door, and offered me if he can carry the basket. Of course I gave it to him, since my arms were tired.
A moment later, we gathered more than 5 small bamboo pieces because he showed me that there are dangerous ninjas around, so I don't have to come back here looking for more bamboo pieces. I thanked him and bid goodbye, without receiving his name.
