My eyes suddenly burst open from my slumber. I had a bad dream again tonight, which is the 3rd time this week. I turned over to see if Michael, my boyfriend, was awake. Much to my surprise, he wasn't there. I thought, 'Maybe he went to get a snack or drink'. I got myself out of bed and went to check. After a while of searching, I hadn't found him. All I found was a note he left. I turned on the coffee maker and made a brew. After getting all settled, I opened and note and started reading.

" Dear Maria, I know this is sudden, and your probably not gonna see this until morning. So sit down and hear me out. I have taken all my things and left. This past month with you has been rough, and I couldn't stay anymore. It's not you it's me and I'm sorry I had to do this to you."

 Yours truly, Michael Barnes

As my eyes filled with tears, I found myself with an unbearable pain of sadness that had fall over me. I became numb. I couldn't believe it, and thought it was a prank. I immediately grabbed my phone and looked up his name. I called over and over until the buttons became blurry from my watery eyes. I didn't know what to do with myself. I ran to what was once our room, and looked in the closet. His side was empty with a couple coat hangers left. The night stand was empty and his charger was gone. I went to the living room and his movies were gone. He had even taken our cat. I was completely alone.

I found myself on the couch with the tv on, but blurred out noise. I had nothing left and felt empty. All of a sudden, I heard a noise come from my laptop. I got an e-mail. I went on my computer to open it and found an Ad for a tropical living space open. The price was cheap and it needed an owner. I called the owner of the Ad and got more info.

With this magical Ad, I had felt a since of hope. New beginnings. A new town. New people. This was exactly what I needed. I eventually contacted her and agreed to come. I contacted my landlord and gave my weeks notice. I had a new purpose, and it was quite fulfilling.
