Casey O'Conner's Origin Chapter

*Spoilers* Don't Read unless you've finished the book

So this for the people who might've been confused by the chapter where Casey got some of her memories back and the chapter had shown some of what happened to her during the childhood she had forgotten. Or people wondering why she forgot all she did. Well this is where I will be explaining it.

Casey O'Conner, also known as Eris, was born the daughter of two Hydra agents. I would like you all to know that this was before Hydra started experimenting on the Maximoff twins. Hydra wanted to know what this thing was capable of. So they needed volunteers. Eris's mother, being much more devoted than her father, offered up their daughter for testing.

Eris spent two years, working out and gaining muscle and body mass in order for them to handle whatever they were giving her. They also strengthened her mind. After the two years were complete, they started testing. They would inject her with at least five viles of stuff made from the stone every two weeks for months. Her mother stopped visiting her, ashamed she was embarrassing the family in such a way. Aka not reacting to the vile.

The father loved his daughter very much and came to see her as often as he could. Though he did it secretly. When they weren't injecting her, they were torturing her, trying to trigger a power of sorts. They would give her difficult work and abuse her and deny food if she didn't get it right.

After about a year and a half of nothing happening, they started training her to become a hydra soldier. A normal one who would do normal things. But they still injected her. In fact, they upped the injections. Eight injections and a week and a half time frame between each injection.

At the age of 15, hydra was ready to give up and send her on deadly missions that would be sure to get her killed. But Eris's father saw. He saw the power in her and that scared him. He didn't want his daughter to become a mindless servant for an organization he didn't believe in anymore. Not after they did to his daughter what they wanted to do to the world.

So, he pressed a spot on her neck to make her heart seem as though it's stopped. A doctor informed him and his wife of her death. The mother barley said good-bye. Eris's dad managed to get her as close to the exit as possible when he pressed the stop on her neck. She jerked up and escaped, hearing a good-bye from her father in the distance after receiving directions on where to go.

Eris escapes. She ran for days with very little rest. No food or water. She was exhausted and starving and thirsty. She caught rides, hidden in kinds of cars to get as far as she could. She's sleep deprived, starving, thirsty despite getting water here and there, and most of all, she was slowly loosing her mind. She was alone and a survivor of torture. Her mind was slipping and she was scared. Her brain kept telling her to do things. How to do things. She didn't understand it. But she could feel it taking over her. There was little Eris left.

By the time she got to NYC, she was a little delusional. She fainted from all that was wrong and fell on her face, hitting her head in such away that made her forget and lock up all that was left of Eris.

Eris has woken up in a bed as lady Gaga was playing in the background. Confused, she looked around and watched as the Tony Stark was singing and dancing along. When he realized she was awake he questioned her. Interrogated her. Gave her water and soup to eat. She said that she had no idea who she was, where she was, who he was, what she needed to do, and basically anything about her life.

Tony continued to do tests and asked questions. Probing and prodding her. Then a man by the name Nick Fury came and took over. Spending all their time together, he grew to like her, as she had him. He knew she was being honest and he liked her personality, so much that he allowed her to call him Nicky. He didn't think it would last forever. Though It had and always would. He informed Tony saying he didn't know how this little girl knew so much. But she did and said he should use it.

Tony would still take tests and ask questions as the two years went on, but he grew to like her and trust her enough. One day, close to the time she arrived, Tony made her sit in front of a desk and look at a naming website.

"Pick a name." He said before walking away. She looked for hours. Eventually and carefully picking the name Casey O'Conner. She told Nicky and he was eventually able to get her all her papers. Tony and Casey argued and disagreed a lot over the two years. Which often resulted in him being wrong. She met the other avengers along the way and grew close with most of them in different ways.

Her father, had been captured and tortured, hydra demanding to know where he sent their project. They wanted her now that they knew she had indeed gotten her powers. He refused to say anything. His wife offered to kill him for them. They agreed. So there Eris's father stood in a steel gray room, standing in front of his wife with a gun. The man in the suit standing in the corner.

"I never loved you Michelle. I would have given your life for our daughters any day." Were his last words before his wife shot him. She smiled sickly and started to turn around to face the man in the suit.

"He's taken care of sir-

Were the last words of Eris's mother before the man in the dark suit shot her through her forehead.

"We get the girl. We end the Dumitru line." The man spoke darkly.
