"How are you feeling?" Lisa asked the moment Rosé met her at the train station to head to Seoul Prep.

Rosé sighed. "Nervous, but I mean, this test is just for us to know if we make it to the varsity team or just the training team."

"I still don't understand the difference, aside from the scholarship thing." Lisa sighed as they head inside the train. "I mean, 100% off the tuition is already neat but how about other expenses like food and transportation? I really need to get into the main team so I can an allowance so I can afford to go to Seoul Prep."

Rosé nodded. "The varsity team is also the one who competes for the major competition. The training team goes to all the small competitions, just like the ones our old school used to attend."

Lisa held on tightly to the strap of her gym bag as she tried to keep her balance on the train. "Yeah, it will be just like before except we're competing under a different team."

Rosé nodded. "By the way, have you seen the new shoes my mom got me?" She said proudly as she showed off her rose gold new Adidas running shoes.

Lisa cooed. "Oh my god, are those the ones you have been staring at from the window for ages now?" She exclaimed. "Those are gorgeous!"

"I feel kind of guilty because mom had to work overtime just to get me these," Rosé said sadly. "Then again, they are so fricking cute."

Lisa smiled and nodded but felt embarrassed of her ratty Nike shoes she's had for a year now. They were her only pair of running shoes so they were pretty beat up from all the jogging, training, competitions, and marathons she's been on. They looked like they've been beat up badly. Lisa could not help but feel a little conscious about her shoes.

She knew for a fact those Seoul Prep girls wore the newest, hippest shoes money could buy. She is certainly going to be the one there with the worst shoes.

"I'm so fucking nervous," Lisa gulped as she balled her hands into her fist, with her nails clawing into her palm.

Rose hugged her best friend. "Aw, we'll get through it! At least, we both know we're going to the same school."

"At least, we both know that." Lisa sighed yet still couldn't shake off her nerves.

Finally, the two best friends arrived at their stop which was conveniently a few meters away from their school. As they walked, they couldn't help but gawk.

"Are we still in Seoul?" Rosé gushed. "I feel like I'm in the United States. This place is huge."

There were tall grass walls and big yards. The school was humongous and spacious; Rosé thinks it's even bigger than most universities. There weren't any people around so the parking lot was pretty empty. The two could not help but wonder if all of the students had their own cars to school.

They made their way to the main lobby which had a high ceiling, Italian marble floors, and even an indoor fountain underneath the glass part of the dome on the ceiling. Lisa's nerves intensified; she really felt like she didn't beling to a place like this.

There were already other girls in the lobby yet Lisa and Rosé stuck out... for the wrong reasons. They were the only ones dressed in their uniform without any makeup on. All of the girls were in the trendiest athletic wear, wearing some lip tint, and just looked rich.

Rosé could not help but link arms with her best friend. "Everyone looks rich." She whispered. "I know that girl is the captain of that other private school we competed against. What's her name again?"

"Kang, I think." Lisa looked at the pretty girl whose hair was in a tight ponytail. She wore a tight red top and Adidas track pants. Lisa looked at her shoes only to see sparkly white designer shoes. "She may be pretty but I still beat the bitch by 2 seconds."
