Prologue

Flashback ???: POV

It was 8 years ago when I lost everything.

My family

My Home

My identity

I was just ten years old back then living my life with my adoptive parents. True that they were not my biological parents but they treated me like I was there own son as they loved and cherished me.

We were living in a small cottage near the ocean of an uninhabited island in the pacific. Although we were the only ones living there we were content of our life there as long as we have each other.

My father was just a fisherman working for a fishing company on another island so we had direct link to the outside world. My mother was at home taking care of me and she did a little gardening as I helped in her work which she greatly appreciated. For ten years our lives were just perfectly normal... that is until that day came... a day I will never forget... the day the so called "Sirens"... took everything away from me...

It was my birthday that day when my parents asked me to get fruits from the forest so we could have a little feast to celebrate. I was excited to spend my birthday with my parents, even if I don't get any gifts the thoughts of just celebrating it with them was as valuable as getting a present.

I was in the forest picking fruits from various trees when some of my forest friends came by and helped me pick them. At first I thought that they would be hostile but turns out they were really friendly towards me and we've been friends ever since.

We were just about done in picking fruits when we heard a distant commotion coming from the ends of the forest as we see smoke rising from the end. I dropped my basket of fruits as I realized where the smoke was coming from. I immediately rushed towards the smoke and when I reached  the end... I fell to my knees with tears on my eyes as I see my family's house burning and big craters littered the premises.

My thoughts were interrupted when I realized my parents were still in there. I rushed and called for them hoping to atleast let them be safe. My cries of desperation only fueled my despair when I saw no trace of them anywhere. I fell on my knees as I just watched the scene, crying knowing that I was now alone. The family that I loved, the home that I can come back to... gone just like that...

I just knelt there with tears in my eyes as I suddenly hear the sounds of gunfire. I looked towards the ocean as I see a bunch of girls with ship parts on them fighting a group which I learned from my dad were "Sirens" the enemy of mankind.

I watched as their battle raged on until I realized something... they were fighting near my home... my family... my home... became the collateral in their battle...

Something inside sparked as I felt an emotion slowly building up. I greeted my teeth as my anger rose of thinking that they took everything away from me just because they were battling?!

The spark within me grew as I felt something changing from me. I breath heavily as I went down on all fours. Something is coming out, Something... something so desperate to come out... I felt pain coursing through my body but the emotion of anger overtook it as I felt myself changing. From my back I felt something coming out. I greeted my teeth as blue electricity surrounded me... I closed my eyes as the pain continued... my body slowly changing, I opened my eyes as I looked up and roared my rage

???: RAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!

The next thing I knew... everything went black...

I woke up and it was already the dawn of a new day. Groggily but weary I shooed my head of the pain I felt from my head. As my vision stabled I looked around seeing something that wasn't there before... a trench, a long scorching trench stretching forward as it continued towards the ocean.

I looked towards the ocean as I gasped and see the island next to ours gone as if it wasn't there. I panic as I held my hands on my only to yelp in pain as I looked at it... my nails sharpened as if I transformed into something else, it didn't help as I saw a tail wagging and I realized it was connected behind me. I stumbled backwards as I felt something digged through the ground. I stood up as I noticed dorsal plates on my back. I shook in fear of what is happening to me as tears formed on my eyes...

???: What is happening to me?

???: That my child... is you inheriting my traits...

I panicked and looked around looking for the one who said that.

???: W-who said that?!

???: Relax my child... in due time you will know of just who you are...

???: What do you mean who I am?!

???: I can only say this... you are destined to become this World's savior... and the next King of all Monsters... my son...

My vision became blurry once more as I felt my consciousness started to fade. But his last words... was the last thing I  heard when everything became black once more...
