HEY! Just a heads up () are character's thoughts just part of the story stuff and [] are me talking directly to you! Thanku and enjoy!
Yuma's POV
Pain. It's everywhere, blotting out the sun, killing the light. Killing me. Suddenly the pain begins to fade, bit by bit, until it's just an ache, an afterthought. And I'm glad, so glad, because I'm alive!
Then that happiness shrivels up and dies. My father sits in front of me, only he isn't my father he can't be... My dad wouldn't have- "Dad?" I ask, betraying my own thoughts. Because I know deep down the figure that just crumbled to dust right in front of me was him. That pain I felt earlier had felt like going to Hell and back. 100 times. This is so much worse. Because this pain feels like I just ended up handing my world to demons on a silver platter.

Osamu's POV
Whack!
A pencil case hits my head and falls into my lap. I shake my head a little, trying to clear away thoughts. "Hey four-eyes," the voice startles me, "give that here." I turn and see a younger kid reaching in vain for what must be his pencil pouch in my hands. Surrounding him are two other guys plus the one closest to me. They'd probably been throwing it around like a bunch of idiots. Again.
I get up and place it back into the rightful owner's hands. "Thank you Mikumo-kun!" I nod, after all it was the right thing to do, and go back to sit down. As I pass them, the other boys whisper to each other, probably their idea of smart-ass insults. I don't really care.
I glance at the clock and - wow the teacher's late?! That's a new one, normally he's a stickler for everyone being on time. "-exchange student." I hear someone saying. "That's why the teacher is late." So does that mean the exchange student is late, or that the teacher is just showing him around? But why would anyone move here, unless... "What if it's a Border agent?" The boy's words echo my thoughts. A Border agent coming to our school? But ... why?
Yuma's POV
Japan. It looks different than how I imagined, but I'm not all that surprised. After all, my dad did say not to always trust what he says. Of course that's also what got him killed - how I got him killed. I shake my head, trying to clear the thoughts before Replica asks why I'm frowning. Anytime now Dad, I mentally promise. Just a little bit longer and you'll be back.
Suddenly a loud HONK interrupts my thoughts and I look just in time to see a .... what are they called again? Cars? To see a car hurtling towards me, screeching brakes in a hopeless attempt to stop. I feel almost no pain when the car's front hits me, crumpling the hood accordion style.
"Are you sure you're ok?" A man in a dark blue uniform asks me, his voice filled with concern. "Are you in any pain?"
Always. I'm never not hurting. "No, I'm fine." I reply not entirely lying, the car crash didn't hurt.
"But you-" Uniform Man continues but is cut off by the man who was driving the car.
"That car smashed into you!" He exclaimed, his worry evident.
"I'm fine. Not a scratch." finishing dusting off my jacket I frown. "But your car is banged up."
The man sputters "Hey don't worry about it! As long as you're ok!" Why are the people here so nice? I'm obviously fine, but that guy's car isn't.
Uniform Man makes me file a report, making me even later for school. When I finally arrive I can tell that the teacher is extremely annoyed at my tardiness. I apologize, and walk into the classroom.
