*Skye's POV*
We all exited the class and I started looking for Rain. I remembered he had first period with Dan and figured Rain would be with him. I saw Rain's bright blue hair and tried to make my way over to him. "Rain!" I called, smiling. I made it through the crowd and almost and froze at what I seen.
Rain was kissing a blonde haired girl who was wearing a cheer outfit and high heels. "Rain..." I croaked out, on the verge of tears. Rain quickly turned and seen me and looked shocked.
"Sam! " He said. I shook my head and ran away as I heard him calling my name and chasing me. I ran into the girl's bathroom and locked the door behind me. I pressed my back against the door and slid down. I pulled my knees to my chest and hugged them, crying. I finally stood up and looked in the mirror at my self.
My make-up was running down my face. My long black hair was a mess and no longer curly. My cheeks were stained red with tears. I pulled my hair up into a messy ponytail as I continued to cry.
Am I too ugly?
Too fat?
I looked down at my sleeves and raised them up and removed my braclets. Cuts littered my arms. Old and new. Was that why he didn't love me anymore. I knew I shouldn't have let him this close to me. I knew it would only lead to tears. I layed my back against the wall next to the sink and dug through my bag.
I pulled out the cold piece of metal that's always been there to haunt and soothe me. I put the blade up to my skin and slid it across my wrist and welcomed the familiar sting of pain.
I'm too fat...one cut.
I'm so ugly...two cuts.
Rain doesn't love me...three cuts.
"Sam! No!" I looked up and seen Dan.
"Rain! H-he's c-cheating on mee!" I cried as Dan ran up and nelt infront of me. He grabbed me and pulled me into a tight hug as I cried into his chest. "Please, Sam. Dont cry!" Dan said softly.
"How'd you get in here?" I asked.
"I knew you were in here so I picked the lock. Sam.." He pushed me back softly and looked into my eyes, his eyes full of sadness. "Why?" He asked.
"I'm worthless, Dan! No one loves me anymore! Rain's cheating on me! I'm fat and ugly! I'm just too broken Dan!" I cried.
"That's not true, Sam! I love you!"
*Dan's POV*
"Sam!" I heard Rain yelled. I turned around to see Sam run away from Rain crying. I turned and followed Sam to the girl's bathroom where she ran in and locked the door. I slowly walked up to the door and pressed my ear against it to hear Sam crying. It broke my heart to hear her like that. What did Rain do to her?!
I quickly started to pick the lock and was relieved when it clicked. I quickly walked in to see Sam leaning against the wall with blood running from her arms. "Sam! No!" I yelled. She looked to me as she cried.
"Rain! H-he's c-cheating on mee!" She cried as I ran up to her and knelt down. I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug as she cried into my chest.
"Please, Sam. Don't cry!" I said softly.
"How'd you get in her?" She asked.
"I knew you were in here so I picked the lock. Sam.." I pushed her back softly and looked into her teary eyes. "Why?" I asked.
"I'm worthless Dan! No one loves me anymore! Rain's cheating on me! I'm fat and ugly! I'm just too broken Dan!" She cried.
"That's not true, Sam. I love you." I told her. She looked at me shocked.
"What?"
"I love you! I've loved ever since we met! I love your laugh, your smile! The way you can never choose what color you really want your hair to be. The way you sing when you're sad or extremely happy. Sam, you're the first thing I think about in the morning when I wake up! I would risk anything to save you.. Remember that one time Amber fed that stray dog a damn suger cookie and it chased you two up a tree and I had to help you?" Sam giggled.
"That dog tore a hole in your pants and we saw your My Little Pony boxers." She replied. I smiled and laughed.
"Sam. If Rain wants to be a damn fool and cheat on you, its his loss. He doesn't deserve you! Don't hurt yourself over some dumbass!"
"But.." I interrupted her and pressed my lips against hers. She instantly kissed me back and wrapped her arms around my neck. I put my hands around her waist and pulled her onto my lap. I bit her lip, asking for entrance and she let me in. I pulled away to the sound of the bell ringing, both of us breathless.
"Shit, we're late."I said though I didn't move and niether did she.
"Who cares?" She smiled and grabbed my collar then pulled me into another kiss. She pulled away and smiled at me.
"Lets get you cleaned up." I said, getting up and helping her up. I grabbed her hand and pulled her to the sink and washed up her arms, washing the blood down the sink. I dried her arms and cleaned up the blood from the floor. I found the razor and she grabbed it from me and threw it in the trash.
I took her arms and kissed both of her scarred wrists then kissed her. "Promise me. Never again." She nodded and pressed her forehead against mine.
"I promise, if you do." I looked at her confused. She pulled up the end if my shirt to reaveal the many old and new scars on my hip and stomach. She then raised my sleeves up and pushed up my braclets to reveal the same.
"How'd you k-"
"You never take off your shirt and I see the ones on your wrist through your braclets every now and then.. So.. I promise if you do." I reached in my pocket and pulled out my razor and threw it into the garbage bin.
"I promise." I said holding her hands in mine. "We should get to class." I smiled as she wiped away her make-up and nodded at me.
