I woke up to the sound of rain. Wait a minute... no that wasn't rain it was, pebbles being chucked at my window?
"What the hell?" I asked groggily while opening my window.
"Finally your up! I've been throwing pebbles at your window for like half an hour now." My best friend, Mason said in a annoyed tone.
"I'm sorry, but you could of just knocked on the front door like a normal person." I said laughing.
"But I'm not normal so that wouldn't work." He sassed back.
"And this is why your my best friend." I smiled. "Anyways why are you here?"
"I wondered if you wanted to get ice cream?" He asked
Awh this guy really knows me.
"What kind of question is that? I always want ice cream!" I said enthusiastically.
"Cool meet me outside in ten minutes." He grinned.
I closed my window and ran frantically to my closet. I threw on a grey tee-shirt, with a smiley face on it that said "smile" on it. I paired it with some worn out grey skinny jeans. I threw on my ugg boots. I brushed my curly black hair and threw it up in a messy bun. I grabbed my chap stick, and money, and I was ready!
"Bye dad, Im going out for ice-cream with Mason." I yelled slamming the door.
"Hey." I walked outside.
"What no hug?" He asked pouting slightly, holding his arms out.
I laughed. "Fine you get a hug." I said leaning in and squeezing him tight before letting go. We started walking.
One awesome thing about living were I do is that I love right down the block from the ice-cream shop.
We reached DESTINATION ICE-CREAM!!! Okay it was actually called "Frozen delight" but whatever... Mason opened the door for me and I was greeted with a sweet smell and a cold rush of air. I sighed. He smiled.
We sat down at a booth and stated talking.
"So Ash, how have you been?" Mason inquired.
"Honestly my dad has been breaking down a lot since my mom left... And frankly I don't know how to deal with it." I sighed rubbing my forehead.
"Hey it's okay. In here for you no matter what happens. He grabbed my hand. "Buttt... On a happier note lets order some ice-cream!"
I smiled. He ALWAYS knew how to cheer me up.
A waitress with fire red hair and green eyes that looked about our age came up to us and smiled at Mason but glared at me.
What the hell? I don't even know her and she already hates me...
"What would you like?" She smiled sweetly at Mason, batting her eyelashes.
"Uhh I'll have two scoops of chocolate, please." He smiled back, totally oblivious.
"K." She scribbled on her notepad while twirling her red pony-tail.
"And you?" She asked turning with disgust.
I put on my classic sweet, fake, smile. "Two scoops of mint chocolate chip, one scoop of cookies and cream, and one scoop cookie dough, thank you!" I chirped.
"Fat ass." She muttered.
Oh so you wanna play that game? Bring it on!
"Yeah I know, your so tinny compared to me. Especially your head because, you know, you don't have any brains." I grinned evilly.
She just looked at me with her mouth hanging in the form of an "O".
"I too can play the game of bitchy-ness. Now go get me my ice-cream." I waved her off with my hand.
She turned around and left without another word.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." I said out loud behind her back. Making sure she heard me.
"Dude... THAT! WAS! AWESOME!" Mason screamed giving me a high-five. I smirked.
