Avengers: Endgame - 2019

I sit on my bed, looking through old photo albums. I have no idea why I do it, but I like to look at all the memories I've experienced, even if it makes me sad. I flip to a page where we were celebrating Steve's 100th birthday. I have a massive shit-eating grin on as I hold a pie of cream above Clint's head. The next photo is of the pie stuck to Clint's head and everyone looking in surprise. The next one is me running away from Clint while everyone else laughs at us. I love these photos. I turn to the next page but before I could turn it completely, my room started to vibrate so hard that picture frames fell off my walls. I quickly jump off my bed and run to the front door. I run into the yard in the Avengers Compound. Steve, Nat, Bruce, and Rhodey are already walking out looking at something. I run up to walk with them as the Benatar carried by Carol Danvers lands. The landing gears deploy as they touch down. The entry hatch opens, and Tony and Nebula walkout. Tony is being supported by Nebula. Steve runs to Tony to help him stand up. Tony grips Steve's arm as he joins him.

"Couldn't stop him," Tony tells Steve.

"Neither could I," Steve replies.

"I lost the kid." I cover my mouth with my hand. The kid, Peter.

"Tony, we lost."

"Is, uh...?"

"Oh, my God! Oh, my God!" Pepper cries. She and Tony embrace.

"It's okay."

Rocket Raccoon sits down with Nebula and takes her hand, both silently mourning their losses. We sit in a living room area. Tony is sitting at a table, getting the blood for healing. A holographic casualty report lists the names and faces of those lost to the Decimation.

"It's been 23 days since Thanos came to Earth," Rhodey informs Tony.

"World governments are in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census. And it looks like he did... he did exactly what he said he was gonna do. Thanos wiped out fifty per cent, of all living creatures." Nat says.

"Where is he now? Where?" Tony asks.

"We don't know. He just opened a portal and walked through." Steve replies.

"What's wrong with him?" Tony asks, motioning to Thor who is sitting, deep in thought. I sit away in a corner, not sure if I should say anything to tony. The last time I saw him, I called him a liar so I don't think it would be appropriate to just talk to him normally.

"Oh, he's pissed. He thinks he failed. Which of course he did, but you know there's a lot of that's going around, ain't there?" Rocket says

"Honestly, until this exact second, I thought you were a Build-A-Bear," Tony says.

"Maybe I am." Rocket replies and I grin.

"We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep Space scans, and satellites, and we got nothing. Tony, you fought him." Steve says.

"Who told you that?" Tony asks, surprised. "I didn't fight him. No, he wiped my face with a planet while the Bleecker Street Magician gave away the stone. That's what happened. There was no fight."

"Okay," Steve says, cautious.

"He's unbeatable."

"Did he give you any clues, any coordinates, anything?"

"Pfft! I saw this coming a few years back. I had a vision. I didn't wanna believe it. Thought I was dreaming."

"Tony, I'm gonna need you to focus."

"And I needed you. As in past tense. That trumps what you need. It's too late buddy. Sorry. You know what I need?" Tony seethes. He stands, pushing things off the table with a clatter. I gasp and stand. Everyone winces at the noise. "I need to shave. And I believe I remember telling all youse --" Tony lunges for Steve. Rhodey quickly comes in front of him, trying to stop him.
