Part 9: the meetup

The girl pov:
It's been a month since I met buddy and saw him be happy with his family. I miss him sometimes but I knew he wanted home but it is better then dying. I did hear shooting and shouting and my dad wouldn't turn back but I thought I'll ask when I see him again.

~a few weeks later~
My mom and I went to the city since she needed stuff. So I went with her in case I saw buddy again since he told me he is from here. And he was right I saw him with his dad, well his dad dragging him away from some food. It made me laugh so I told my mom I would be back to go see them. I walked over to them and I stopped when I heard their conversation "Foxy we literally got to get out of here!" I heard his dad say in a panic voice. I was confused. His name was actually foxy! I never knew that! Wonder why he didn't tell me. I was out of my thoughts when foxy yelled running a head of him "they saw me run!" "I told you they would see you!" He said as he followed him. I decide to follow slowly. I was curious..

Foxy pov:
I ran into a building tripping over a piece of wood and tumbling into a wall. I heard Jesse laugh a bit as he helped me up. "You ok there?" He asked me. I nodded as I shook my head "ack, ok so why are they chasing us? We literally got out of one problem and now there's another one!" I yelled. "Shhhh!" Jesse shushed me. "We ain't trying to be caught" he said looking around. "So what's the plan?" I looked at him. "We'll stay here until I see Mangle in the woods for a clear" he replied. I froze when I smelling a familiar scent. I turned around to see the girl I met when I was stuck in the truck. Why was she here?? "Uh Jesse-" I said slowly. "Yeh?" He asked confused. "We have a visitor" I said slowly. Jesse turned and looked at girl. "...oh..." he said silently. I stepped forward and looked at the girl. "Long time no see buddy..." the girl aid softy. I walked to her and hugged her "Yeh.." I felt her arms wrap around me. "Why are you here tho?.. it's dangerous" I asked. "I was worried bc I saw you two run in fear" she looked at me in the eyes. I sighed "bc we are being hunted still, since Jesse and I are still healing from last time we are trying to run" "was that the bang?.." she said in fear. I slowly nodded. "Jesse got shot..." I looked at Jesse as he walked to us "Yeh.. then you went back to yourself and almost drowned bc they stabbed you and shot you with those darts.." I looked down then looked at the girl "yeh.. our life isn't the best can't ya tell?.." she hugged me and Jesse close to her. "I know how that feels.." as she let go of us. "My name is Amber..btw.." I smiled "I like that name Amber.. but maybe you should get back to your mom." Amber shook her head no "no.. I wanted to tell you some news" I looked at her. "My dad isn't killing anymore.. and he's getting me a pet to say sorry for almost killing you.." Amber said looking at me sadly. "You miss me there don't you?.." I said slowly. She nodded. "I mean I wouldn't mind if Foxy went home with you rn.. since Petra and I was going to search for the base of the hunters and I was going to let Mangle babysit him" Jesse said to Amber. I froze and looked at Jesse "she was going to babysit me!?!" Jesse looked at me "yeh, I don't want you in danger and I think Mangle would be a great babysitter for you" I glared at him. "I'm literally 18 Jesse!" He picked me up "Ik but you are small and you act little a little kid so" I crossed my arms. "Don't give me that face" he said looked at me then at the girl. "Maybe you can ask you mom if ya wanna hang out with Foxy? I'm sure Mangle wouldn't mind a little helper" I watched Amber as she went to ask her mom. A few minutes later she came back saying she could come. Just great! -~- I like the kid but I'm seriously mad.
