So about two days ago I was on youtube listening to some songs while I did my assignments for school. Inevidably I became distracted and started searching things on youtube a lot more than writing anything. I love youtube. It is seriously everything to me sometimes but the one thing that really gets on my nerves is youtube comments.
I understand that people have that immense temptation to publicly express their opinion about how 'Justin Bieber is such a girl' or 'Taylor Swift is so slutty' but some of the things that I come across are just plain stupid.
For example I was listening to a song or just watching a video (I can't remember) but I think that it was one by 'The Script'. Now I love the script so much and I'm a nosey guy. I scrolled down while listening to the song and began to read the comments. One after one they were saying boring things like 'I love this' and then I saw the genius-in-the-making called Derrick. I'm not going to reveal their youtube name but my faith in humanity was destroyed.
Derrick- How has this video got 126 million views when there are only 7 million people in the world???
I realise that this could have just been as a joke and all but honestly.
The other thing that annoys me is the gigantic youtube arguments that are literally so unnecessary. I get that you want to defend yourself or your idols but please...take it into the private conversation.
Then there's the outrightly rude and horrible people who think that their opinion won't hurt anyone. I'm sorry but saying that a celebrity is a cow (or much worse but let's keep it PG here) is low. Yes, they are celebrities and when they followed their dreams and became famous they probably knew that they would have haters but they don't need you to tell them how many flaws they have. Think of yourself for a moment. You have insecurities so why don't they? So stop making fun of them. How would you feel?
