Or maybe I was just looking for you.

She was there.

She walked over,

her stained lips,

disheveled body,

more-than-messed-up mind.

She walked over with a smile that burned like a flame.

My smoke alarm was blaring.

Those heartbreaker eyes would be the death of me.

Just like you were.

Her voice was the calm before the storm, the kind of terrifying peacefulness that you love but know you probably shouldn't.

"I'm really not supposed to, but, yes, you can call me anything you want."

This time, you weren't on my mind when her lips touched mine.

She was.
