"Mom! Kylie, Care, and I are going to go outside and bike with Alaska!" I shout to mom.
"K, honey! Make sure to be inside before it's dark!" She shouts back.
"Alaska!'' I yell.
I hear scratching on the floor and hear Alaska's bark. He runs into my room and slides to my feet.
"Hey, boy," I giggle.
We walked to the door, but not before I grabbed some sandwiches from the fridge. When we got outside, I hooked Alaska up to my bike and I grabbed my mom and dad's bike for Kylie and Care.
"Okay, girls. Instead of walking, we'll be biking. As long as you both know how to bike," I explain.
"Of course we know how to bike. Well, I know I do," Kylie says and looks at Care and she nods.
"Good. Everyone grab a bike then," I say and nod to the bikes.
I grabbed my bike and off we were. I was thinking about this cute guy I saw in Science class when I crashed into a thorn bush.
"Crap!" I tried to move but it only got worse, "Ow, ow, ow! This really hurts! Kylie! Care! Please help me! And get Alaska out of the way! I don't want him hurt."
I heard a voice and nearly died, literally. It was the voice of the cute guy in Science class, Brandon.
"Hey guys. What's going on?" He asks when he sees me.
"I crashed into this bush and it really hurts, can someone please help me?" I beg and try not to make eye contact with Brandon.
"I just called your mom and dad, they should be here soon. Your dad told me not to try and get you out until they get here. It was really funny, he is so overprotective," Kylie laughs.
"Don't even get me started, when I told him about the bullying, he was close to calling the cops. He was all like 'I swear, if they touch my baby girl again, they are gonna get it,'" I roll my eyes.
"Wait, you get bullied? Why?" Brandon says, concerned.
Before I could reply, we heard a car horn. My mom and dad were here. Great, just great, I thought.
Dad parked the car and jumped out and ran over to me. While mom took her time and then ran over.
"Madison! What happened?" Dad asked, concerned.
"I was biking and hit a rock, fell down, and into this bush," I explain. "I'm fine."
"It doesn't look like it, you have cuts and bruises all over you," Brandon raises his eyebrows.
"Since when did you hang out with boys?" Dad glares at Brandon.
"Um, I don't! He just happened to stumble upon us and his name is Brandon," I quickly say.
"I live here and heard someone say "help," so I decided to come out here and see what I could do. But then you guys showed up and here we are now," He looks down at me and then up quickly.
"Can you guys hurry up with the chit chat? I'm kind of in a lot of pain right now," I groan.
"Right, I brought some tools. I brought a clipper thing that you use to clip thorn bushes. Now let's get you out," Dad smiles and I gesture for him to come over.
"Don't you dare be mean to Brandon, he's never done anything to me," I hiss in his ear.
"I'm only trying to protect my baby," He pouts.
"I know, but I'm not a little girl anymore. I appreciate you trying to protect me, but I need to be semi-independent. Does that sound good?" I kiss his cheek and he nods.
A half an hour later, they finally get me out.
"Oh my gosh! Sweetie, you have cuts all over you. We're taking you to the hospital," Mom commands and we head to the car.
"What about our bikes? And Brandon?" I question and automatically regret asking the last question.
"Well, the bikes are coming with us in the back since we brought the truck and Brandon is going to go home and do something besides talking to you," Dad growled.
"If you don't mind, sir, I would like to come along to see if Maddy is alright. As long as you and Ms. Calder are fine with it," Brandon says.
"Dad," I warn before he has a chance to say anything.
"Fine, you can come. But you're going to sit in the front with Eleanor and I," Dad sternly says.
"Thank you, dad!" I jump and hug him and he stumbles back.
"Your welcome, Maddy. Even though I don't want you hanging out with him, if you want to hang out with him and it makes you happy, you can," He smiles.
"Cute dad-daughter moment, but can we go? I still want to talk to Maddy," Kylie smiles.
"Yes, to infinity and beyond!" Dad yells and grabs me and puts me over his shoulder.
"Dad, set me down!" I giggle.
"But that's not fun," Dad pouts.
