This book was inspired by a lot of things, some being movies like Rosewood, Mississippi Burning, and A Bronx Tale and other events that happened in history such as the Emmett Till case, the Rosewood Massacre, and the Civil Rights Movement.
This book , however, is still made up completely from my imagination and is a very sensitive topic to me , a young black female.
I also added a bit of music to this book to appreciate the beauty of black music during this era.
