"thank you, come again!" heejin cheerfully thanked the costumer as she handed her the bag of bread, smiling widely despite of being tired while standing all day. the costumer left with a smile plastered on its face, praising heejin for being having such a wonderful personality.
heejin worked on a bakery for a part time. since her mother died, she needed to live by herself. she's still studying and her allowance isn't enough, so she decided to work part time to earn money for her rent bills on her cheap old apartment.
she was cleaning the counter carefully, hadn't noticed the bell above the door that rang, followed by a costumer entering the bakery. heejin prepared herself to greet the costumer, putting a volume of her hair behind her ear and faced in front. "hello, welcome to the love&live bakery!" she greeted before turning her gaze to the costumer.
the costumer and her eyes met, heejin noticed it was a girl with black straight hair, wearing a pair of big earrings which looked really unusual. the girl was very pretty, even looked like tzuyu from twice who's very popular. the girl had a small face, too but what caught her attention the most was her eyes. they looked very cold, and ... lifeless.
"plain hot breads, please. make it two." the girl coldly stated, not even paying attention on heejin. heejin smiled on her cute big earrings, producing a soft chuckles as she get the bread on the deck.
the girl looked at her, questioning her chuckles yet heejin just replied a smile, handing the bread to her. "that would be dollars." heejin said, smiling at the girl who looked like doesn't even know how to smile.
the girl slipped her hand on her black backpack, scanning her money and took out three dollars. she slammed it on the counter, "keep the change." she stated, didn't even bothered thanking and just left with her bread. heejin smiled at the thought of her. heejin thinks she's kind, she even left a dollar.
time passed and it's another day for heejin. she quickly took a shower and did her routines. she locked her apartment and didn't bothered eating a breakfast. she took a ride on her old bike and went to the bakery ashe parked it at the back of the place.
she opened the whole place after she wore her own apron. she smell the breads that just came out from the oven, freshly baked by the owners of the bakery. and it extremely smells good. the delicious smell of the food entered her nostrils as she arranged all of them on the deck. she'd also cleaned up the tables and even wrote the menu. when everything was done, she flipped the sign hanging on the door as it tells the bakery is finally open.
heejin was mumbling a song as she wiped up the counter, making it look cleaner. minutes later, the bell rang, a sign that a costumer is coming.
heejin was ready to greet the costumer, but to her surprise, it was the girl from yesterday. the girl who had big earrings, it was her! heejin immediately smiled and greeted her, before asking what's her order.
"plain hot breads, please. make it two."
