Chapter 25
The Fight to End it All Part 2
Keira and Jenna saw Mari shoot up into the sky like a bright yellow missile with Elysia back onto her rightful perch on her shoulder. "She's up!" Jenna shouted into her intercom watch to the guys. "She'll be joining you in a few seconds, Aiden."
"Copy that." Aiden's voice replied.
Mari zipped past her brothers, who were cheering for her. "Get 'em, sis!" Evan shouted.
"Show them what happens when you mess with a Ketchum!" Luke added.
Mari only gave them a confident grin as she flew into the passageway that Aiden entered and came inside the compound. Guards were already waiting for her, but she just smirked.
"Elysia, give them a Thunderbolt!" She commanded. The female Pikachu jumped off her Trainee's shoulder, cheeks sparking dangerously.
"Take this!" She shouted loudly as she released a powerful bolt of electricity from her body down at the guards, electrocuting all of them. Elysia stopped the electrical attack when she landed back on Mari's shoulder so that she doesn't shock her Trainee by accident.
All of the guards were in a daze from the bolt of lightning, skin ashen and their hair all frizzy. Then, all of them fainted onto the floor. Mari whooped loudly with joy. "Now that's an Electric attack!" She cheered. Then she landed on the floor, her wings vanishing as she did so.
The door to the detention cells opened, and Aiden, Ash, Ritchie, and their Pokémon partners came running out. "Dad!" Mari called out, rushing to her father and giving him a tight hug. Ash eagerly held his daughter in his arms.
"Hate to break this reunion short, but we gotta get out of here!" Aiden said, seeing that more guards were starting to come in the main landing hangar. Mari nodded, and her wings reappeared. Aiden did as well. Ash took a deep breath.
"It's been a long time since I've done this." He said. "I might be a little rusty." Then, his own wings appeared from his back. They were worn but beautiful, strong-looking Marine Vivillon patterned wings. He looked back at them. "Man, I missed these!" He exclaimed, examining them.
"You mind giving my dad and Sparky a lift?" Aiden asked his Espeon. She meowed at him, her words understandable in his and Mari's ears. He smiled at her and gently rubbed the top of her head, making her purr. "Thanks." He said.
Mari and Aiden made their own wings appear on their backs. Aiden's Espeon had her eyes glowing a bright blue around herself and Ritchie. Then, they all jumped high up into the air and flew out of the volcano.
When Dawn saw that four figures had flown out of the volcano's crater, her heart began to swell. One of them was her daughter, the one beside her had to be her father and Dawn's lost husband.
She stepped a little further onto the beach and closed her eyes. Then, a pair of lovely colored Beautifly wings appeared on her back. But instead of a warm brown for the background surrounding the bright spots of reds, blues and yellows, it was more of a dark purple.
