03 - Odd Out

"Do not challenge me, human."

"Do you know anything about Jungkook and Taehyung?" Jin asks to Junghwan as they eat together while he is watching the table at the corner of the cafeteria where the six best friends sit.

"Why are you always looking at Bangtan?" Junghwan replies which gather the attention of Jin.

"Bang- what?" Jin asks.

"Bangtan. It is what they called them. The six best friends" Junghwan explains.

"Why did you know something that I don't know?" Jin asks.

"It is not my fault that you are living inside a black box" Junghwan teases him.

Right at that time, Taehyung glares at him. Did he heard them talking about him and his friends? How? They sit like eight metres away from each other. There is no way he can hear them talking about him.

Anyway, Jin classes for that day end at 4.30 p.m. since his last class was cancelled because of whatever reason it is. Since Jin mostly went home late, that day he decided to went home earlier. Perhaps his mother will be happy with that?

When he was off from the bus, like always he walks home. While on his way home, his itchy ears can not help but hear some confusing sentences between two males near him. Something about catching something. That did not make Jin happy at all. As far as Jin knows, people will hunt for wild animals for their horns or skin or nails. But that for rare and valuable animals. Animals that is hard to get but these men near him is talking about some wolves.

What can they do with the wolves? They want their fur? Valuable animals or not, capturing living things is not humane. There is only one place in his area with probably wild animals, the forest. The forest where Jin always walks to home. These two men near him are planning to go into the forest at night in a few days. Do they don't fear for the danger? They could get killed in the forest and no one will know about it.

"Hey, are you lost? Oh, you are so cute. What are you doing here alone? It is not safe" Jin says while scratching a little puppy's head.

The little puppy reacts to Jin's action by wiggling her tail, walking in circle around Jin.

"Where is your mother? She must be worried about you" Jin says again to the puppy.

"I'm going to take you to my house until your owner or whoever find you. Leaving you here alone is not nice. Cars could run over you" Jin says to a cute little puppy on his way home.

When he walks inside the house, his mother is at the living room, sipping her hot tea which she later burnt her tongue with it the moment she saw what Jin is holding in his arm.

"Where did you get that?" she says in panic looking at Jin and the puppy.

"Near the forest, I think she is lost" Jin replies, scratching the puppy's head.

"That is a wolf. A baby wolf" his mother says in fear.

No wonder this little thing is a little weird. Seeing his mother looking so scared at the little baby wolf makes Jin uncomfortable. Jin knows by the expression his mother gives to him, he certainly did a wrong thing. Making his mother disappointed and upset is not on his list, never.
