"What?" Shalon gasped. She couldn't believe her ears. "Sorry, what did you say?"
Kio chuckled. "You heard me - kiss me."
"B-but..." Shalon's voice faded away. Why couldn't she reject? What was she so afraid of? It was just kissing... Nothing more, right?
After a moment of silence, Kio sighed. "Okay, whatever. You don't have to if you don't want to." She stood up and stretched. "Besides, I really gotta go."
"Leaving so soon?" Shalon asked, disappointed.
"Yeah."
"Oh..." Shalon swallowed the lump in her throat. She followed Kio to the door. "So... Um, see you..."
Kio smiled. "Bye."
Shalon watched as her perfectly slender body walked away. The sun was shining brightly, reflecting gorgeously against Kio's flawless white complexion. The wind tousled her dark, brown hair. Her body moved gracefully. She was everything Shalon wanted to be.
"Wait!"
Kio stopped abruptly. Shalon mentally cursed herself. Why did she tell Kio to stop? What was wrong with her?
"Yeah?" Kio asked.
Suddenly, Shannon reached into her pocket and did something she never thought she would ever do in her life.
