Samuel's P.O.V

I sat in my desk during my last class of the day. I tapped my pencil on my desk impatiently as I glanced at the clock multiple times. The teacher watched me from her desk seeming annoyed by the sound of my pencil hitting the desk. Glancing at the clock one last time only to hear the bell ring out in the hall.

Quickly standing up and grabbing my bag, I raced out the door. I walked down the hall quickly and easily sliding past people in my way. Making my way out of the school expecting to see my sister waiting for me in her car.

Instead I saw a tall muscular guy with black wavy curled hair coming across his forehead just a bit but not enough to cover his eyebrows. He wore sunglasses covering his eyes and he was leaning against a black Jeep Wrangler.

He was wearing a black leather jacket with a light colored shirt and dark jeans with boots. Girls were surrounding him and trying to get his number but he didn't even seem interested. He looked over and saw me and a smile was spread across his face.

"Sammy!" He called and realization hit me like a truck.

"Victor?!" I ask with wide eyes as I walked over. "I thought you were still upstate with your Grandpa."

"Yeah I just got back," he said as he waved off all the girls around him. "I told Jean that I was coming to get you so she went out with Kaedon and Mason."

"Wow," I said rolling my eyes and getting into the Jeep anf he walked around and go in on the other side.

He drove out the parking lot and drove down the road barely keeping the speed limit. We drove a few miles down the road with the music playing lightly.

"You're quieter then usual. Anything happen while I was gone?" Victor asked glancing at me then looking back at the road.

"Nothing I can't handle," I say trying to avoid his gaze as he looked back at me.

"I thought we weren't keeping secrets from eachother, ya know bro code and all," he said watching the road.

"Look Vic, I just don't wanna talk about it," I said looking out the window.

"Look how about we head over to Jace's Salt and hang out with everyone and when you're ready you can talk to me," he said only receiving a nod from me.

Jace's Salt was an old broke down warehouse that used to be a salt factory or something like that. Our friend group had found the old warehouse by mistake when Victor and I was running from some guys and decided to hide out there. Then before long we started hanging out there with all our friends.

Pulling up to a old rusted building with a crooked sign that said Jace's Salt on in I saw three cars and motorcycle already there. I got out of the Jeep and walked to the warehouse entrance with Victor right behind me.

As soon as I walked into the warehouse I heard the sound of laughter. Walking to the sound I found f
six guys with two girls sitting on the couches in the littlr living room space we've made.

"Hey guys look who's back," I said and everyone looked up and behind me as Victor walked into the living space.

"Victor!!" A chorus of voices yelled before he was tackled in a group hug by all the guys.

The girls laughed and rolled there eyes.

"Ok guys get off him," a girl with curly light brown hair and looked about 5'10 said.

"Aw come on Nicki," a guy with the same color hair that was thick and shaggy on his head said.

"He just got back Kenneth, he doesn't need to be trampled by my brother and a bunch of guys," Nicki said to her younger brother Kenneth.

"It's fine Nicki I'm just glad to be back," Victor said as he stood up from the group tackling him and stood besidd Kenneth who was 2 inches taller then his 6 foot height.

"Dude now that you're finally back we can tell you all about what happened while you were away," Levi a short 5'5 blonde guy said as he stood with a smile.

"Yeah and I can tell you all about the crap that went down it was freaking awesome," the youngest guy in our group said with a bright smile as he bounced around with his grayish blue eyes shining brightly at the thought.

"Maybe later Whitlen the guy just got back," I said and Whitlen's smile faded some.

"Yeah I actually need to talk to Nicki about some stuff," Victor said sending me a look then walking to Nicki.

Walking past everyone and outside to get some fresh air I heard someone else come outside. Looking over I saw one Victor's younger brothers Isaac Flynn but we just called him Flynn. Just like the youngest brother Andrew Holt, he had dark brown hair.

"You didn't tell him did you? About the attack I mean?" Flynn asks his eyes narrowing at me.

"If I did he would have came home sooner and you know how much he cares about his grandfather. I couldn't be another persob for him to worry about," I said as I leaned against the wall of the warehouse. "Plus a Panic Attack won't kill me Flynn."

"You've had six since he's been gone Samuel you're already really small from poor health and anymore could permanently affect you," Flynn said. "And to top it all off with your dad and that rival gang."

"Hey man it's gonna be fine. Plus this is the happiest I've seen him since things went down with Brendon. I would hate for him to go through something again." I said as I slid down the wall and sat down.

"What if it's not ok though?" Flynn asked as he slowly sat beside me.

"It will be don't worry," I said as we both went quiet.
