Part Three

I walked into my office to begin a new day. "A giant room expects giant accomplishments," I told myself. So I got to work quickly. It was time for the next level of questioning for the guys who were brought in. About halfway through my day of talking and questioning, the boy who saved me walked in for the second time. Again, I felt the electrocuted feeling, but stronger. He looked at me and sent a relieving smile, and I did the same to him.

"How are you?" he asked.

"I'm okay, but hey, I'm the one questioning people here," I said, jokingly.

He laughed, "Agreed."

I began the session and all went smoothly, but he had no new information about the subject of weird occurrences in his life. At the end, he paused and looked into me with his deep blue eyes,

"Hey, um, I wanted to show you something that I made."

He pulled out a thin paper stack, bound together, with pencil markings on it. He began flipping through the pages and I saw flashes of red ink along with the grey marks. Then I realized they were extraordinary, beautifully detailed sketches and drawings. Some of which contained me, and some of both of us. One that stood out to me was a drawing of him with his hand reached out to me, signaling his offer of vulnerability. It had red sparks drawn on it, the ones that were invisibly felt in person. In that moment, I knew that we had something special. It was the strongest feeling I had ever felt.

"Oh my goodness, stop, you're going to make me cry. This is so beautiful. You can draw so well! No one has ever done anything so heartfelt for me!" I told him in awe.

"Well, I just traced some of the pictures, but you really mean a lot to me, and i wanted you to know the way i felt before it's too late," he replied.

Then the timer rang because our session time was all used up. He smiled at me once again, and walked out of the room. Then I called in for a lunch break. I got my food, went back to my occupational room, and sat in quiet while eating. I couldn't help but think about what he had shown me. I was truly amazed. It made the connection i felt between us even stronger, and I now considered him a friend. I felt like I could tell him anything and he would give me undying support, love, and motivation in return. When my break was over I continued doing my job until the day was over. Then I packed up my bags, and locked my work room door. As I walked down the long hall to get outside, I heard someone else walking towards me to catch up with me. I looked over my shoulder to see him there. He said something, but his eyes were so attractive I didn't hear a word he actually said. We were both happy, and that's all I was concerned about at the time.
