i rushed to the hospital right afterwards, not believing it. i ran and ran and ran, ignoring the curses of the people i accidentally bumped into, ignoring the cramp on my side, ignoring my ankle. he was far more important.
thump!
i fell backwards and saw that boy from school. i massaged my ankle when a hand was extended towards me. the boy's hand, that is. i took it as he helped support me and lead me to the bus station.
"sorry," i murmured, cursing my ankle mentally.
"what were you running for?" the boy asked as the rain started to pour.
"my friend...," i quickly got up and limped towards the hospital, ignoring the pain every other step. "he tried to kill himself."
