Eve's P.O.V.

"Thank you for choosing American Airlines. We are going to be leaving in a few moments, so sit tight and prepare for takeoff!"

I rolled my eyes at the stewardess' fake cheeriness over the intercom and stared out the window. Sitting in the 3rd class section, I leaned my head back against the slightly uncomfortable seat. Okay, I lied, a completely uncomfortable seat. But I shouldn't hate, you know? Not their fault their seats suck. Thankfully, I didn't get seated next to anyone, so I had the two seats to myself.

Adjusting the blanket over my legs, I thought about my hurried rush to Dad's house. After I had stopped at my father's house and thanked him more times then I could count, he gave me more than enough money to pay for food, a place to stay, and a group of jungle experts to guide me through the forest. I had told him to call me if he needed anything, leaving my number in big digits on the fridge. I'm still a bit paranoid about Bruce somehow finding me and hurting my father, but with my luck, I'll hopefully never see him again.

I looked out and took my last glance of the city for now. But I didn't really see it. My eyes fogged over and a rainforest appeared instead. Blinking, the image faded away, but it fueled my excitement more. I planned to immediately begin exploring, after looking into some research of the area of course. I can't just go in blind, no matter how much I would like too.

Shaking my head, I sighed and slumped back against the seat. I shivered, but that doesn't surprise me, since I am wearing a black tank top and some capris. I kicked off my tennis shoes and placed them in the seat next to me, attempting to get comfortable. Feeling the turbulence of the plane as it took off, I put my headphones in and closed my eyes, preparing for the long flight that awaited me.

"Miss? Miss...Evangeline Harris? Miss Harris?" A woman said shaking my shoulder.

"Hmm?" I muttered, shaking myself awake and looking into the fake smile of a stewardess. "Yes, what is it?"

She giggled, annoying me slightly, before getting straight to the point, "Miss Harris, we have landed. It's time to get off now."

I raised an eyebrow and looked out the window, seeing that we have indeed landed. And the view was spectacular! Beyond the airport, the ocean glittered a stunning turquoise and the heavy emerald green of the jungle surrounding us was just...breathtaking. I could practically taste the moist air and could catch the occasional glimpse of an animal beyond the trees.

I hurriedly rushed off of the plane, grabbing my two large suitcases and heading into the traffic area. Looking around, I looked for any sign of the car my dad had rented me. Spotting a sign with my name on it, I quickly walked forward to meet the African American man, who was holding the poster. He had a little bit hair that covered his scalp and a crooked nose, but had nice brown eyes. He looked around 5ft 9' and was pretty built. All in all, he looked...nice.

When I approached, he smiled a big toothy smile and shook my hand.

"Miss Harris?" He asked me, a slight accent poking into his baritone.

"Please, just call me Eve." I responded, smiling widely.

"I am Johans." He said in return, nodding and gesturing towards the mostly empty parking lot.

He led me to a 4-door yellow jeep, with no roof, filling me with even more excitement then I already had. I threw my stuff in the back and practically leaped into the car, laughing excitedly. Even Johans chuckled at my happiness, climbing in himself. Starting the car, we shot off, the wind roaring in my ears and whipping my hair around. I smiled and closed my eyes, soaking in the sun that I have been deprived from for so long. Driving along the dirt road in the middle of the jungle, I felt curiosity at what lies beyond the trees. What will I discover? Curious about the life surrounding me, I leaned my head back and looked out to the side.

Suddenly, I saw something, but I don't know if it was actually something, because we kept driving very fast. I saw a tan blur running along side of us. It would seem probable that it was a figment of my imagination, or an animal.

But I could have sworn I saw a pair of bright mint-green eyes staring at me as we drove on.

Third Person P.O.V.

All was calm in the jungle. Being home to all kinds of creatures, it seemed unnatural for peace to surround itself throughout the trees. But it did, even if some creatures were on the move. Especially one. A man, appearing to be in his 20's, was dashing through the trees, via the vines. He wore nothing, but a fur covering over his private parts, appearing to be of a black panther. He had fairly long brown hair and cat-like green eyes, the mint green clashing against the jungle's vegetation around him. He was tanned from the sun and muscular from the battles and all of the running he does. He had his fair share of scars and strong hands from lifting and swinging.

But we'll get back to all of this later.

At the moment, he was running. But his run would appear as nothing, but a blur, for he was trained in the art of speed. As he was running, he happens upon the more open part of his home. Where the jungle and the dirt path meet. He considered retreating back into the trees, when suddenly, a yellow beast shot past him. Stunned, he looked at it closer, as though the car was in slow motion, and noticed two others in the thing. One, a son of man, like the other people on the island. The other, appeared a very pale daughter of woman.

But she was different.

Unlike the other daughters of woman on the island, with dark skin and a little mane, Her mane appeared as though it was thrashing violently like dancing flames, and her smile was as white the clouds. She had very tiny brown dots across her shoulders and the bridge of her nose, but those were very faint.

The man started to run.

He dashed through the trees, keeping pace with the yellow contraption, his eyes glued to the woman. Who was this foreigner? Why hasn't he seen anyone like her? What is this female doing here?

Suddenly, her eyes opened, revealing glittering eyes, a grayish blue like the sea before a storm. He froze in his tracks, realizing her eyes were widened in shock...and looking directly at him.

Time suddenly re-righted itself, and she was gone.

The yellow car kept on driving not only leaving the girl in a confused daze, but also the man. He watched where she had dissapeared, even after the yellow beast had gone, leaving only a trail of dust in its wake. He took a step forward in the direction the woman had gone. He considered chasing her down, taking her with him, but he didn't know how to. He didn't know who or where she would be. So he returned back into the forest, planning on finding her again.

He would know who she was. And he would make her his.
