The Arundellian Prince sighed in misery, another ear-full from his dark sea-green haired royal adviser.
"Have you got no shame?! You are a Prince! Not a little boy who needs to be taught how to be proper!"the woman scoffed and scrunched her eyebrows together.
The Prince's soft baby blue eyes was looking at the dawning sky,it was decorated with dots that were stars, live and dead.
He wished to be like those stars,he wished to be free from this Kingdom. All these responsibilities and royal conversations was too much for him,a 23-year-old boy who hasn't gotten a touch of the outside world. It was sad,but true.
He had heard and read hundreds of stories of the outside world,he envy those messengers,travelers.. anybody who have free will to access to the outside world! He would give ANYTHING to escape the so-called 'Kingdom of Arundel' or 'Angelic Kingdom',he was sick of being trapped and being treated as a child!
"Are you listening to me?!"
The albino snapped out of his thoughts and flicked his eyes to meet eyes that showed strong anger that glossed over with.. tears of sadness?
The dark sea-green haired woman sniffled,"you used to be a good kid, what happened to you..?!"
The boy looked at the painting of him and his family,he looked so happy and hopeful back then. That was just back then.
"Hosuh.. your mother didn't want this.."his adviser cried softly. Soft like she was breaking.
"Don't bring my mother into this."Hosuh snapped,he stood up from his chair and headed for the doors. "I'm tired."
The guards that kept guard of the doors retracted their axes to make way for the royal prince, they opened the door for him.
Hosuh felt uncomfortable with the two guards that was with him,"Where's General Knight Jay?"he asked the whereabouts of his dear best friend,Jay.
"At the training room, your Majesty. The new trainees are being tested by him."one of the knights answered with an unwavering tone,Hosuh sighed. "Alright then."he muttered under his breath.
He walked into the long hallway, heading towards the library, where he spends most of his time reading books of the Eight Lands.
A small smile graced itself unto Hosuh's face once he had reached the familiar wooden door that had delicate designs,it wasn't really used by people, other than the Arundellian prince and the General Knight.
The door creaks as he pushed it open, everything was still untouched, but yet,so clean. The fireplace ablaze, the book tower not falling and the book that was left on the coffee table is still open.
The smile remained untainted on his face as he closed the door, walking towards the cushioned chair,he sat on it and grabbed the book to resume reading it.
As evening turn into twilight, the door creaked opened as the man in a dirty, dark brown cloak enters the room.
He spotted Hosuh unconscious and chuckled, his hand outstretched to the prince as he neared him.
"Hey.. wake up,Hos.."
Hosuh was gently shook awake by the man,he opened his eyes to meet heterochromia eyes, one red and one yellow.
"Hey Jay."Hosuh smiled at Jay,who very much smiled back. "What time is it?"he asked, rubbing the sleeping dust off his eyes.
The General Knight responded with the corresponding time,"it is already midnight,"Hosuh's eyes widen in shock. "Oh Etro, midnight already?!"he questioned, only to be shushed by Jay.
"Yes,it is midnight."Jay quietly hissed,"Did you pack your bags?"Hosuh nodded quickly. He went over to the brick wall of the library and revealed a secret storage room that had a medium sized dark silver backpack and a dark brown cloak that matched the General Knight's cloak.
"You sly prince."Jay smirked as Hosuh chuckled softly,"I know."the prince commented, grabbing the backpack and slinging it on his back,he puts the cloak on and pulled the hood over.
Jay and Hosuh advanced out of the library, but before that, the albino grabbed a slightly thick book that had 'The Foreign Tales by Unknown Bluebell' in calligraphy.
"Seriously? That book?"Jay questioned in a teasing tone,Hosuh huffed,"It's a good book, okay."he said. "Are you sure? It isn't your crush on the author?"
"I don't even know the author in person!"
"Or was it the letters that mysteriously appeared in the book?"
"That-that's not it!"Hosuh turned slightly red. "Bingo."Jay snickered, making his best friend deny it(and turn a bit more red).
Hosuh huffed and hid book in the cloak's hidden pockets(thankfully it was big enough to fit the book). The two advanced their way to the castle grounds, skillfully avoiding knights and guards that was on night duty, some were even slacking off.
At last, they have reached the great cliffs, since the kingdom was settled on a plateau. The high ground provided advantages and disadvantages for it help the greatest battles and falls, both literary and literally.
Jay moved his cloak, revealing his exposed back(due to his shirt being open on the back). There laid proudly the sigil of Angels, every royalty has it.
Red light gathered to Jay's back and there materialized wings that were colored black like coal and large as 2/3 of Hosuh's body. Jay jumped off the cliff with no fear and flied gracefully to the ground. Unlike the other members of Arundel,Jay was a Fallen Angel.
It was Hosuh's turn, however since he hasn't fully developed his sigil,he learned magic and sorcery as his only option. He raised his hand to do some motions, most likely spelling out the provided sign. Light blue lines followed after Hosuh's finger's,making the provided sign. After he had done that,he closed his eyes.
"Bring me to Jay."
Hosuh found himself next to Jay,dizzy and nearly puking and falling over. "Woah, take it easy Hosuh!"Jay said worried, patting Hosuh's back. Jay made his wings disappear and chuckled at his best friend's complaining after he has recovered from his moment of sickness.
The two looked at the forest in front of them, the magical forest that holds secrets and history untold and told to man. Hosuh felt himself grin in joy,he was free from kingdom's shackles of expectations and imprisonment. He was free from his family and his kingdom.
Today marks the day known to man, that he was no longer a kid.
