Hosuh ran as fast as he can to catch up with Jay,his breath ragged. The stars above them twinkled,as if it was mocking the two best friends with their freedom.

Soldiers behind the two were chasing them like predators chasing the prey,and Jay and Hosuh were the prey.

Now let's take it back from the very beginning.

"Jay,the Ludenciel kingdom is coming soon! With their daemons and soldiers,we won't make it!"Hosuh told Jay,who had a surprised look. "The Ludenciel kingdom? You mean that cursed kingdom infested with dark energy?"the blond asked,as if furious. Hosuh only nodded vigorously.

"Then we must make haste-" "But what about Ann? And-and Jo?"Hosuh asked,worried for his friends. "They won't make it if they stayed here,at the pub! Even if they do make it,what would happen to them? "he added and trailed with what if's,adding more problems to the fray. His companion cursed under his breath and thought about his options.

Should they stay with Ann and Jo or should they go to Ravendale as only runaways?

"Oh.. The Ludenciel kingdom is coming?"Ann questioned,along with Jo. Jay nodded while Hosuh had a look of panic,Ann sighed. "I knew this would happen.."she muttered out loud. "Wait what?"Hosuh questioned out in confusion.

"You see,me and Jo are runaways of.. Ludenciel,we tried Ravendale but they don't like us. They banished us from there,that's why we're here,in Cathryia,working in a pub."Ann explained,making Hosuh's mouth agape. However,Jay sighed,"I knew it."he only said. "But Ann-!"the silver haired boy called out,not wanting to leave them at the hands of Ludenciel.

"Let's go Hosuh."Jay said turning away from Ann and Jo,grabbing Hosuh's hand to drag him away.

"But-"

"no but's."

Hosuh gritted his teeth and gave in. He and Jay went to their shared chamber to get their stuff for an escape,knowing only a bit about Ludenciel,they would target on the kingdom that,at least,is defenseless and easy to take. So Joe chose Cathryia.

Packing necessary stuff as quickly as possible,Hosuh had pack the book that he treasured so much in his escape bag without Jay noticing. He hastily got his bag on his back and placed his dark dirty brown cloak over his figure.

He pulled his hood over and glanced at the pinkette and dark brown haired male who were conversing quietly,were they really gonna stay here? While the daemons and soldiers are coming? Hosuh shook his head and went out with Jay,who was waiting for him.

The evening sky was decorating with dead stars that sparkled brightly while others dimmed,like it was dying for the second time this time of the universe. People had been hiding due to the news of the coming war,they knew it was no joke that Ludenciel are fast on their armies and plans,after all,they did try to conquer all of Eight Lands but that failed years ago.

Hosuh followed Jay while he made his way towards the forest,it was the fastest way to get to Ravendale,through No Man's Woods. But they were stopped,by the king Daniel and his brother.

"What a surprise,it's the nobody and the Arundelian prince's fanboy,or should I say.. General Knight Jay and Prince Hosuh?"Daniel smirked as he saw Jay and Hosuh's reactions,Jay looked furious while Hosuh gasped and looked confused and surprised if both was possible,"get out of the way,Daniel,Elias."Jay growled,scaring Hosuh by his tone. He had never heard him say that in such tone.

Sure Jay can be threatening and scary but this time,it kind of scared him. Maybe due to the news of the war or just his tone to the Cathryian King and Knight. "What if we don't want to?"Daniel questioned,raising a brow. "It's a beautiful night,why don't you just stay for a bit more?"he added.

Jay growled,"now's not the time for games-"

"No time for games huh? It's a shame,but you're already in it."Daniel sounded sinister while he said those words,Jay and Hosuh heard clanking of chains,making them turn around to face the enemy.

Two daemon clothed with armor and chains and mind control chokers stood beside Joe,who grinned maliciously. "Thanks for stalling them,my friend."Joe thanked Daniel,who nodded from the other side. "I'll leave you to it Joe,let's go Elias."Daniel left the scene with Elias,who gave a last glance of regret at Jay and Hosuh.

They didn't deserve this,they really don't..

Jay cursed under his breath,contemplating his options before choosing one,to flee. The blond took Hosuh's hand and ran into the forest with two Ludencielan Daemon soldiers on their trail. Like wolves chasing preys.
