Hanji povI started running as fast as I could to my home and as I was running I only saw maybe 60-70 people and of a hometown with over 1,000 people of population it had become a ghost town.
I got really worried. I didn't know a thing about my family's well being right now. I was scared and felt like none of this could be happening. As I saw my house in the distance I started to run faster and faster until I saw that my house was still intact except for a couple of windows.
I went inside in hope that someone would be alive. I stepped over broken glass and blood I followed the blood drops to my parent room and there they were dead. I walked closer to them to see them for possibly the last time and a single tear rolled down my face. My mother's face covered with blood splatters and my fathers eyes ones filled with light now dark.
I heard a faint whimper from my parents closet. With my knife ready in hand I opened the door with caution my sister Sasha fell onto my feet and started sobbing. "Please don't kill me please don't kill me" I'm not gonna kill you don't worry. She immediately recognized my voice and started sobbing more loudly. Shut up do you want to attract more of those things?! I whisper shout at her. "Sorry" she said while still silently crying. Come on we need to grab dads hunting knifes, guns and every possible food we can carry.
I grabbed dads military bag and started stuffing it with weapons and food. Come on this place won't be safe for long and we can mourn over the death of our parents later now come on we need to get to a safer place.
I grabbed her arm and got out of there and we started running to the safer place I knew of.
The mall.
We ran inside I was apparently wrong. Not safe. There were boards of zombies probably that used to be human. But still a few humans and one question raged in my head. Why were only certain people spared from becoming zombies?
But there was no time to think of that I saw a boy about my age about to get attacked. I don't know what hit me but I started running towards them and slashed the zombie in the stomach causing it to die instantly.
The boy got up and thanked me. He asked me a bunch of questions like how I did that and what's happening. So I explained everything to him. Afterwords he told me his name was Levi but after his frantic questions his expression dropped as he remembered what had happened to his friends. His demeanor became emotionless.
I guess since me and Sasha were busy talking to Levi I didn't notice the zombie coming up behind us. I turn around in shock but before I could react Levi took out a switch blade and stabbed the thing in the stomach. He is strong he can fight.
A/n Levi talking will be in Italics
Hey you don't suppose I can join you guys to help you fight right? I mean I'm stuck in a hell and my friends are dead.
Yeah sure. We could use more people I suppose. Mostly because it's smarter and we can have each others backs. But if any of I die we have to promise not to mourn. I then took my knife and carved a skull into my pale skin.
What in the actual hell are you doing?!
Easy this is my sign of me keeping that promise. You guys do it too.
Yeah whatever
Ok now that that's settled we should probably board up any windows and get rid of the zombies trapped inside.
