The atmosphere was awkward...

The prince glance to the princess beside him that was just staring at some spaces ahead her. The prince then glance up to the guy whose raising both of his eyebrows to him. The prince pouted his lips towards the princess while sending help to him.

The guy only chuckle silently and heaved a quiet sigh under his breath. Before the guy could utter a word, the princess beats him from doing so.

"I'm sorry..."

The prince narrowed his eyes towards the princess as the same words keep coming out from her mouth. The prince had just remind her not to say those words ever again but hearing them echoing inside his ears once again making a huge guilt come hitting his chest hardly.

"I told you not to say those words..."

"But, still--"

"Anna, it was your feelings. The feelings you couldn't deny nor ignore that the fact you likes me. It was not an illness, it was your heart. Your heart was beating for me. You can't controlled your heart to beats or not"

The princess finally look up slowly meeting her eyes with the sorrow ones beside her. The brown orbs that held some pains and happiness inside wasn't helping the confused one to know the truth whether the prince return the feelings or not.

"Did...Did you like me back?..."

The words that come out from the princess's mouth immediately captured the prince's mind. No sounds left him neither was his breath, it was only a sound of the wind hitting the window.

The prince was blank. He doesn't know what to say or how to respond to the princess. He was all blank as one thought remaining inside his head roaming around.

'He wouldn't be happy with this...'

"Hendery?..."

The prince snapped his head towards the sullen one and heaved a sigh loudly while closing his eyes before answering the princess softly.

"I...I-I...I'm sorry, Anna. I didn't like you back..."

The Queen becomes alarmed by the princess's words and quickly backed away while shaking her head in disbelief.

"W-What are you saying, Yeeun? Jason was a nice person...He even helped me during the fight years ago. You must've mistaken him with someone else...."

The princess huffed a small sigh while closing her eyes before opening them back staring right into the Queen's confused orbs.

"Mother, it was really him. I've got shock when I found out he was the one who gave the poison accidentally to you. He's trying to put the curse on King Taehyun but accidentally got some in your cup"

"The butler has told me everything, Mother. He was there when Uncle Jason put the poison inside of the King's drink. King Taehyun's brother is not what his true self right now..."

The Queen's tears threatened to falls but the older fight back which broke the princess's heart slightly. The Queen laugh in disbelief as her feets started losing strength before dropping on both of her knees to the ground.

The princess quickly embraced the crying one pulling her into a tight hug while stroking her back gently. The older one was bursting her heart out loudly after getting the news she wasn't expecting it to be.

The one she trusted enough...

The one behind all of the problems...

The thought of him lying truthfully to her is another guilt rushing inside of her. She'd never being curious at him since he was all playing 'nice'.

"Betrayer...That coward!!"

"And what? You're gonna find him?"

A hoarse raspy voice come from behind making both the Queen and the princess turn their heads looking at the old lady that was just standing there with the black cardigan covering half of her back.

"Mirana, why didn't you tell me?! All of this time, I've been lied to!! You're supposed to help me find those culprit and got the answer from my daughter?! Are you even helping me all this time?!"

"Watch your words, Songyeon!!"

The Queen immediately closed her mouth shut when the old lady suddenly pointed her finger towards her while yelling out. The princess gulped down hardly upon hearing the yells and just stood still without uttering any words.

"You aren't saying that filthy words to me!! Doesn't it looks like I'm not helping you at all?! Searching for the clues and letting you know whose behind this?!"

"You're not supposed to find out from me neither your daughter!! The curse might change and we're all maybe will not aware from that!! That curse is stronger than what you think it is!! So, don't be--"

The old lady suddenly stopped her words and quickly ran towards the window peeking outside a little before a gasp left her mouth leaving both the Queen and the princess in confusion.

The old lady turn her head looking at the Queen and the princess mouthing them to look for a place to hide as she slowly stepped infront of the door.

"Be safe"

The Queen alarmed by the situation and take the princess's hands in her rushing to a hideout place quietly. The old lady take a deep breath while looking at the door and opened it slightly after.

The looks on the old lady's darkened as the face of a person she hated the most stood right infront of her with a slight smirk displaying on his face.

"Hello, Mirana~"

"What do you want....Jason?"

"Lily, where are you going?"

The little girl didn't answer the maid's question, instead she just walked past her towards the playground behind the castle. The maid blinked for a few times with a smile slowly vanished on her face.

The guy that was about to walk inside the living room stopped his steps upon seeing the unexpected reaction given from the little girl to her mother. The guy heaved a small quiet sigh and dropped his head looking on the white clean floor under him.

'When will all of this stopped, God...'
