Before there was a me, a you, and a I. There was Lady Sun and Sir moon, two beings who watched over the skies. No one knew where they came from not even themselves. They were just always there- following their natural instincts. They were like baby turtles. Baby turtles don't need any help to know what to do. They break out their shells and crawl to the sea. Knowing what to eat, where to go, and how to come back home. They know all of this being only a minute and a half old. Lady Sun came before Sir moon. Whenever her black feet touched the soil; it burned underneath her feet. She created what we call the sun. That huge yellow and orange fireball. Luckily, Sir Moon came fast and in a hurry so Lady Sun wouldn't completely set fire to all there was. She was happy when he came along. She could rest her flame for a good 7 hours or more. Sir Moon bathed the world in his moonlight.
Sir moon was the first to fall in love. Smitten with her powerful flames. Then, long after Lady Sun felt the same for him. Falling not for his power, but for his calmness and mysterious ways. They married in midday using clouds to block the view of their wedding from the humans. On that day all there was were clouds and mist and rain. Now, Lady sun wore a ring made of moon rock. Now, Sir moon wore a gold ring with a flame from the sun in the center. From their love came the stars. A million children all belonging to them. Hidden when their mother was out, since, her flame out shined their own. Once night came you could see them in all their glory. Happily they danced around their father, happily they played in the sky.
Sir Moon one day grew tired of his wife's ways. Envious of the praise and worship she recieved from the humans. He was not envious enough though to grow violent with her. All he wanted was some recognition. He lit up the night sky for their travels. Did he not deserve praise as well? So he called for his wife and sat her down on a cloud. Both wanted to go as they pleased. The shifts they had taken had grown too controlling and limited them. Lady Sun thought of a solution to help her husband. She wasn't going to go and hide for sure,or give up any of her time. She suggested they split the people and create their own universe. Sir Moon was confused at how her idea would work but quickly caught on. They each would take their own group of people to create their own worlds. Their personal dimensions would be only for the person who created it. The people however had the right to choose who they wanted to go with.
If you loved the sun-hated the night, loving anything bright, loving only warmth, and warm nights, you would go with Lady Sun. To her personal creation; Land of flames and the eternal fire. But let's say you were more reserved, always tired, liked the gloom, saw beauty in only Sir Moon. You would go with him. To his personal creation; Moon land. Though you had those who liked both of them and believed they worked better together. With consideration they left those people and promised to still bring light to their days and nights.
