Madison's POV:

"Have I got some good news for you." my dad said as he walked into the kitchen.

"Sceptical but go on." I said to him.

"Do you remember my friend, Y/D/N?"

"Yeah, I remember. He died didn't he?"

"Yeah, he did, unfortunately. But he ran his own company if you remember that too."

"I do but I never really understood what he actually did." I think he owned a couple of businesses but I don't know for sure.

"Well, he was the founder and CEO of Y/L/N Enterprises which are a conglomerate holding company. They have businesses in manufacturing, telecommunications, real estate, and building products and also invest in other businesses and companies."

"Oh right, that definitely makes things clearer dad. Thank you." I said sarcastically as it didn't really clear anything up. Dad rolled his eyes at me.

"Anyway, do you remember his son? Y/n?" do I remember Y/n? I've had a crush on him since I was like freaking fourteen. Of course, I remember him.

He is so hot.

"Yeah, I remember him." I remember his bitch wife too.

"Well, it's his company now which is crazy as he's only twenty-six and worth more than everyone on Shark Tank, put together almost. Anyway, I saw him today and we caught up. Turns out he just fired his assistant and needs a new one, so I got you an interview." he said to me.

"Oh right. Okay?" I'm a little surprised as I definitely wasn't expecting him to say that.

"Only if you want to Madison." he said almost like he was defending himself.

"I'm not mad dad. Can't be mad when someone gets you an interview, just surprised that he'd even consider interviewing me for it."

"Well I told him that you didn't want to do college and have had some jobs but nothing has been good enough and that you haven't done this before but he's in need and I just thought why not? I also let him know that it might not be a long-term fix for him, but it's something while he gets things in order. I also imagine the wage is good." he laughed a little at the end there.

"I guess having the interview couldn't hurt could it."

"Exactly. I wouldn't put all your eggs in this one basket as I'm sure he most likely agreed to see you as a favour but as you said, it would be a great experience for you. He has your number and will be in touch with you soon to arrange a day for you to go in."

"I won't but thank you for putting a word in for me dad."

I never had college on my mind. After I left high school I went on a little holiday with my friends and then when I got back I was looking for work and I've had a few little jobs here and there but they either didn't last long or I just wasn't enjoying it and you should enjoy your work. I don't want to live off of my parents but my dad can still put a good word in for me.

I'm not expecting a job out of this interview, but it would be nice to look at Y/n all day and get paid for it.

"Here, put his number in your phone so you know it's him when he calls and not just some random number." dad said handing me a card.

"Will do." I replied as I did it there and then.

It's about 7 PM right now and I'm just lying in my bed on my laptop making sure my resume is up to date to take with me tomorrow. I know I haven't had many jobs before, so I can't put a load of stuff but I did well in school so I can get all my grades down.
