So Maryland is a tiny little state on the east coast of the United States.
Nestled in the mountains is a school for... gifted children. It's a beautiful place with cool autumns, and icy winters, but not harsh. It works for all of the people there, from the weather kids, the morphers, the psychics, and all the oddballs. Everyone is happy, and we have the most normal life we can, although some of us do wish we could be more; or less.
