There are two things to consider when it comes to work.

First is competence.

In our line of work competence comes first.

The second one? Professionalism.

Never. As in never combine pleasure with work because once you did, it'll be a goddamn trouble.

Kaya naman ng simulan ko 'tong Security Agency na'to lagi ko ng mantra sa mga emplayado ko iyon.

Competence and professionalism will always come first.

Pleasure? I don't fucking care where they find it, as long as it's not within the premise of their work.

I learned the hard way. So I'm not about to jeopardize it.

But as I look at my younger brother infront of me, his posture guilty, looking anywhere but me I started to think if he ever did understand my rules.

"Dimitri" I sighed, trying to compose myself. "Are you fucking serious?"

"Dude, anong magagawa ko? I can't stop myself --"

I slammed my hand on the desk, my hand stinging. Pero mas malala ata ang nararamdaman kong galit para mapansin pa yung sakit.

Out of all the stupidity a person can have in the world, bakit nasalo lahat ng kapatid ko?

"Damn it, Tri! Kliyente mo 'yon! Why do you have to go fuck her and complicate things?"

Itinaas niya kamay niya as if in surrender. "Told you, I can't help it. Nakita mo na ba siya? Duuuude, she's hot"

Wala akong masabi kundi mapatitig nalang na tila hindi makapaniwala.

I finally found my voice."Yeah, she's hot but let's not forget she's in the fucking process of divorcing a senator!" I shouted, unable to stop myself.

Fuck.

Lagi kong sinasabi na wag na wag nilang ii-involve ang sarili nila sa mga kliyente. Specially if it's an active assignment.

Pero ngayon ...

I took a deep breath. Sumandal ako mula sa upuan ko.

Where the hell are my other brothers?

In times like this, I need someone who'll stop me from strangling the younger brother.

"I'm pulling you off the case" I said finally.

"What?! Seryoso ka ba, Don?" he whines. This time he sat down at the chair infront of me.  "At kanino mo ibibigay? Kay Rhett? You can't be freakin' serious"

"I'm serious." Kinuha ko panibagong file mula sa desk ko saka iniabot sakanya.

Mas wise choice si Rhett pag dating sa ganito.

"Your new assignment. Dismissed"

Hindi siya nagsalita, imbes binuksan niya yung file. After scanning it briefly, he laughed in disbelief.

"I'm not gonna babysit some spoiled heiress, Don. No freakin' way"

"Yes freakin' way. Now, you're dismissed. Before I fire your ass"

"Bu-but..!"

The intercom buzzed. Then I heard shellys' voice.

"Sir, Sir Marc on the phone"

Beep.

"Dude ... Haaaa ... fuck ... Don. Pumunta ka ngayon sa Primea Tower. Unit xxx. NOW!"

Bago pa ako makasagot, ibinaba niya agad.
