Chapter 1: moving day

I woke up to the flight attendant shaking me, "honey we have now entered Sydney, could you please start to gather your things" she said walking to a different person. "Hello ladies and gentleman, this is your pilot speaking we will be landing in Sydney airport in about 5-10 minutes, so if you could fasten your seatbelts and get all your belonging together, thank you" the loud speakers in the roofs clicked off.

Once the announcement finished my mum asked me to get all my bags ready while she went to the bathroom, "so where is it that your going?" The lady who sat. Ext to my mum asked. "Summer bay" I said picking up our bags and placing them on mums seat, "I used to live there!" She said which obviously hurt her feelings, "which part of England are you from?" She asked changing the subject. "Brighton" I said sitting up from getting all the bags on the seat.

When my mum came back she organised the bags properly, "ok so we have a eat and drink in town and then we head to the train station?" She asked to make sure it was ok, "ok" I shoo my head slowly. "Why summer bay?" I asked my mum who was biting her nails, "it's a small little bay that no one can find us on" she said as if we were hiding from dad. "Are we hiding from dad?" I asked which made her angry, "look were starting a new life so stop it!" She said which indicated me to stop talking.

Once we landed my mother waited for the plane to clear off a little bit before we got off, "mum it's not that busy can we go now?" I asked when the people from the back started to get up the front, "ok go!" She said, I basically ran as quickly as I could to get off that plane and onto dry land. "Can we just get our bags and go to the train station?" I asked because I was to hungry, "sure!" She said like she didn't want to get something to eat anyway.

We checked our bags through customs who approved our items, we left in a can for the train station, "where are ya heading?" He asked through his thick accent, "what do you mean? We already told you the train station" I said as I didn't quite understand what he said. "I mean on the train? Where are you going on the train?" He asked again, this time he said it louder. "Summer bay" I said before my mum could talk. "Ok, I really hope you enjoy your stay here in Sydney!" He said after me paid him. "Did he just want to get paid?" I asked once he drove off, "yeah!" She said laughing.

Once the train ride was over we got our bags off the train and went to our house in another can, "is that it there?" I asked pointing to a house with a white picket fence, "why a white picket fence?" I asked my mum who obviously knew about it. "You chose it for the fricking fence didn't you?" I asked because of her guilty face, "I'm sorry" she said letting a tear escape, after she said that I turned to look out the window. "Ame I'm sorry" she said once we pulled over, I didn't respond. "Thank you!" I said handing over $20 to the man, "you got the keys?" I asked picking up some boxes we had.

"Got it!" She said running up the steps, "do you need help?" A guys with pretty eyes asked, "uh no I'm all good" I said obviously turning red, "nah, give me that box anyway!" He said snatching the box from my arms, "my names Amelia by the way" I said nervously waiting for a comment about my accent, "Casey" he said looking into my eyes...
