9| There's more outside the box (Pt 2)

[Flashback]

"Mother, Father, you'll come back, will you?"

The young boy, now aged 12, looked up at the warm eyes of his parents. They were going to visit a town by carriage. Before leaving. the two royal parents were going to have a family meeting. As usual in every family meeting, the three children listened carefully to their parents.

"Of course, we'll be back before you know it." the mother chuckled, giving her youngest son a hug. In the young boy's perspective, he considered his mother to be pretty with her long silky hair tied into a bun and her gleaming blue eyes. "We would take you three with us but the area called for me and your father only."

"What is this place you speak of?" the young boy's sister asked, a 14-year-old girl with long curly hair that reached her chest. She was nervously playing with a strand.

"Just another town. Your mother and I are to meet the leaders there. It will be an experience but we'll be safe." the father answered. He was a tall figure, bearded, looks strict but he has a kind heart.

"Safe from what?" the young boy's older brother asked. He is now a teenager, a handsome one in fact. But despite his looks, the boy still kept his arrogant behaviour.

"You see, the travel requires a track with twists and turns. But the carriage will make sure we are safe." the mother explained. She then turned to her husband, "Right honey?"

"Of course sweetheart. And soon we'll be back, so don't panic about it."

"Pardon me for interrupting this bonding moment but the leaders wouldn't want to be kept waiting." a man with dark brown hair and hazel eyes interrupted, walking into the room. He is the one riding the carriage. The parents nod at the man before turning to their kids, engulfing them in a hug.

"Good luck!" the sister said, her voice muffled. The parents chuckled and parted from the hug.

"We would need that luck. But you guys may need some luck as well. Your older brother will be in charge here." the father laughed. The older brother puffed his chest in pride. This of course made the young boy uncomfortable.

"I'll have this all under control. I won't let you down." the older brother smiled.

The parents exchanged glances and smiled at their children. The mother then turned to her husband, "We should get going now."

"Right," the father nodded. He and his wife then walked out of the room with the carriage driver. The children ran over to the window and pressed hands and faces against the glass pane, on the lookout of their parents.

They eventually found their parents both walking up to the carriage. Well, the mother id. The father noticed the children and waved to them before boarding the carriage. The children waved back watching as the carriage wheeled off away from their home.

The older brother stepped back from the window and turned to his siblings, his hands on his hips. "Ok," he noticed his two siblings now looking at him, "So I invited Orion over, so you guys can do whatever."

"You're being irresponsible. You're supposed to take care of us, not leave us alone." the younger brother pointed out. His brother did a loud sigh.

"Well, I have something to do anyways. It's important."

"What is it exactly?"

"I can't tell you.... you... would not know. Yeah, it's something you would not understand." The older brother then began to sidestep towards the door, "Well... see you guys later! Stay safe!"
