(yes i am spamming this book with cliff's high school photos, deal with it.)
1978
The grounds of the streets were waddled and enveloped within a misty veil of somber, airy, grey coloured fog. A white luminescence was emitted from the flickering street lamp towering from up above, casting ebony shadows behind the two friends which, in turn, mirrored their actions from below with every move they made. The environment was bathed within the pale light, which was eminently vivid in contrast to the scintillating stars atop. Utter silence was prevalent throughout their surrounding environs with an exception for a few distinct noises.
Distant faint cricket chirps were produced from inside the lush, thick and tangled vegetation planted alongside the pavement, buzzing within Ramona's ears. With each step that they took, the soles of Cliff and Ramona's shoes slapped against the concrete with great force, causing the sound to reverberate throughout the deserted street which was void of any living souls.
A light, frigid wind blew through the area, sending a flurry of leaves to travel right down the road. Tumbling and turning whilst following the same trajectory path as the wind. The surface of the leaves and other debris the wind had picked up scraped against the road, giving rise to a slight scraping sound.
Ramona shivered a little bit and pulled her jacket around her small frame tighter. She crossed her arms as she tried her best to maintain some sort of body heat in order to stay warm while being stuck in the frosty weather.
"Where the hell are we going?" Ramona urged.
"We're just gonna hang out, Mona." He replied.
"What are we going to do? It's colder than a witch's tit out here."
"We're gonna sneak into Dawn of the Dead."
"What?!"
"You heard me."
"I am not going to do that. We almost got caught last time we tried to sneak into a movie."
"Your point?"
"I don't want to get in trouble, Cliff."
"It'll be fine." He waved his hand. "If we see them coming, we'll just make a run for it."
"God, why didn't I think of that? They totally won't be able to chase after us."
"Would you rather be stuck at home?"
"Well, no."
