Hey guys! This is something I have had the idea of for awhile, but I finally got to writing it. I am also trying to follow the new rules from discord, as I know in the slave story it may have been a little over the border. I don't really know if Slave Side Effects is over the limit, but I will be keeping it up for now and just make sure that future chapters will be fine. Just know that if I am approached by anyone, I will take it down without hesitation because I was nervous in the first place. But here we go:

It felt like an eternity. Night and day seemed to stand still yet never stop moving. Memories like little caged birds started to fly away, slow at first, but faster as time went on. A man stood alone on a bridge. A book lay open in his hand as he stared at the sky, lost in his thick, racing thoughts. All the man could remember was snitbits of people he knew, glimpses of a place he had lived, and the fragile echo of his name. Time passed in an odd way. The days seemed fast when he let his thoughts take over, yet slow when he tried to capture the escaped memories of his past. Every night as the sun set, odd images of a time long ago would fill his mind with unfamiliar faces that made clear names ring through his head. The man felt like, once upon a time, he had known these people, but now they were just déjà vu.

All alone he has stood upon this bridge. He had a faint memory of once being here with another boy, and searching for a girl, but his ability to remember their faces had been lost in the pits of tartarus, along with how he knew them. The sun reflected off the water just as he tried to reflect on the past. The man felt his mind move a thousand miles per hour while his body stood behind. The man lifted up his free hand to trace the scar upon his face. It started above his left eye and ended nearly a centimeter above his jawline. How had he gotten it? What type of life had he lived? Why was he so young? Why was it a beach and bridge where he ended up? Why can he never seem to not think? Why was time the way it was? Why... why was he here? The man knew were "here" was, for that was one of the few things he knew, yet he did not fully understand why he had not yet left. He just wished to remember.
