Light and Darkness mingled

Chapter 1: How it all began

"Ardyn ! Ardyn, wait for me !!"
Cried a young child. She was blonde, with blue eyes that gleamed like a starry sky and was wearing a beautiful laced white dress. She was about 5 years old.

On some meters ahead of her stood Ardyn. A teen, in his 15's. He was playing tag with Somnus, his young brother who was 7. Somnus was very picky at Aera and when she arrived he started to mock her saying she was too slow and weak.

Aera on the other hand, didn't tolerate injustice and got very mad when someone, anyone-specially Somnus- treated her like that. Despite her young age and less strenght, she pushed and shoved him off into a field of thorn flowers and Somnus began to cry. Aera was satisfied with that and putted her arms on her little hip exclaiming " Who's the slowpoke now, you meanie??"

Ardyn just sighed and tried to calm both of them. To be honest, he was getting tired of their fights. He cherished Aera a lot and didn't want her to be sad or mad because of Somnus. He also tried to talk with him about it but the latter normally would pay it no mind. He was a child after all.

They grew up like this. Everyone loved Ardyn and Aera the most while him, with his stubborness and picky attitude, was never given so much attention.
In time, his persona twisted and he became grumpy and selfish towards others. No one saw it, but day by day, darkness was consuming him from inside..
