You're in a Band: Calum

Singer!

You were rushing around your and Calum's apartment trying to get ready. You had tour rehearsal this morning and somehow your alarm got turned off and now you were twenty minutes late, boarderlining on thirty by the time you were gonna leave the house. You were jumping up and down (pretty loudly) trying to shimmy your jeans on and you noticed Calum stir in your shared bed. You immediatly stopped and buttoned them up pulling a hoodie on over your tank top. You silently padded over to the door but where stopped by your boyfriends voice.

"Babe? Where are you going?" You looked back to see him sitting up in bed, running his hands through his hair. You whimped slightly at his toned chest but focused back on his question. "I'm late for tour rehearsal. So I was trying to leave without waking you up but I see I failed." You laughed sitting on the bed next to Calum. He leaned his forehead on your shoulder and yawned. You smiled running your fingers through his blonde streaked hair. "Can I come?" Calum surprised you with his request. "I haven't really met your band and I feel like we're with the boys all the time."  He looked up at you and took your hand in his. "I just don't want you to think I don't care about what you do." You smiled lovingly at your boyfriend from his concern. You kissed his cheek and laughed a little. "Cal I never thought that for a second. We both have stuff going on and I just had some time off when you had to be with the boys. And I know you care because remember that one night in London where you helped me write that song I was obsessed with finishing that night. That showed me you cared instead of just leaving me to finish it and going to bed." You saw him smile at the memory and you squeezed his hand. 

"If you wanna come you can, get to know the boys a bit. I know they've been wanting to get a better look at you even with my constant reasurance. They're like my big brothers so they're very protective." You laughed getting up. You walked over to the dresser and pulled out Calum's jeans and a grey t-shirt, throwing them at his slouched figure on the bed. He flinched when they hit him and you muffled a laugh with your hand. "I don't have time to shower." He said. "When has that stopped you from going somewhere?" You looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Well I now have people to impress so I would like to smell nice." He stated smiling. You shook your head walking out of the room. "Throw on some colone and get in the car." You yelled down the hall.

When you got to the building you had rehearsal in were now forty-five minutes late and you were dragging Calum down the hall. "I swear you are the slowest person ever." You giggled and pushed the door open to the practice room. The boys were hardcore practicing one of our songs and didn't hear you guys walk through the door but when Derek, your drummer, saw you he stopped playing. Which after a few more seconds caused Jesse, your guitarist, and Adam, your bassist, to stop as well. All the boys looked over to you and put their stuff down.

"Well its about time you got here! Take foreeevvveerr." Jesse groaned and you laughed. You went and ruffled your hand through his brown flop of hair. "I'm sorry guys, somehow my alarm didn't go off so I slept in late." You sighed pulling your backpack off your shoulder and putting it on a chair. "Likely story Y/N." Derek said rolling his eyes but you could see him holding back a smirk. "You wanna go Derek? Bring it on! We'll go right here! Right now!" You stood infront of his drum kit with your arms out. "You're in for it now Y/L/N!" He got off his stool and ran over to you, tackling you to the ground and tickling you. You burst out laughing as his fingers ran along your sides as you squirmed trying to get away from him.

"C-Cal! Help m-me!" You laughed as Derek's fingers still dug into your sides. "You think your boyfriend can save you, Y/N? Oh think again sis!" You were quite close with your band and you all just got in the habbit of calling eachother brother and sister. After about another minute of struggling on the floor you pushed Derek off you and scrambled to stand up so he couldn't get on top of you again. You hid behind Calum and peaked over his shoulder to see where Derek was. After it looked like he wasn't going to tickle you again you moved from behind Calum. You cleared your throat and the boys turned to you. "I know you guys wanted to get to know Calum more and he wanted to do the same so he's gonna watch us practice today." The boys looked at you for a second before smiles broke onto all of their faces. "Its about time! We've wanted to do this for months Y/N!" Adam practically yelled and you noticed Cal visibly relax next to you. 

"Ok so let's make sure there are no misuderstandings," You said clapping your hands together. "the one with blonde hair that tackled me to the ground is Derek." Derek came over and shook Calum's hand and smiled. "Brown hair bobby is Jesse, he plays main guitar." Jesse came over and did the same as Derek. "Mostly cause she doesn't have the skills to play main guitar." Jesse winked and you stuck your tongue out at him. Calum laughed and shook his hand. "Then last but not least we have Adam who you could probably bond with the most cause he's our bassist." You said and Adam smiled brightly. "You play bass?" He asked Calum and he nodded. Adam flicked you on the arm and scowled at you. "You never told me that! You just said he was in a band too." You coved the place that he flicked with your hand. "I didn't think to mention it! Jeez." Everyone laughed and Adam shook Calum's hand as well.

"Boys this is Calum, my boyfriend. So um I need to warm up real quick but then we can practice. Feel free to socialize amongst yourselves." You kissed Calum's cheek and ran over to the piano that was in the corner of the room. Looking over at the boys you smiled to yourself seeing some of the most important people in your life getting along and smiling with eachother.

Calum's Pov

They guys in Y/N's band were really nice and easy to get along with. We laughed at a couple things Jessse said and it was all good fun til Derek looked at me with a serious expression. "She really loves you, you know." He stated quietly. I looked down then over to Y/N. Her eyes we're closed as she sang a song to warm up her voice. I looked back at Derek. "I really love her too. She makes me happy." I said. "Y/N always told me that she felt like something was missing in her life. She would get upset not even knowing what it was. Since you guys started dating I haven't heard that sentence once and she always looks so happy when she talks about you." Adam told me and I smiled at this small confession from the boys. "She's practically our little sister so we just want her to be happy and you make her happy so I think I speak for all of us when I say, I'm glad you guys are dating." Jesse patted me on the back and I smiled at him. " I'm glad we're dating too."

Watching Y/N practice what she works so hard at everyday is such a sight to see. Her fingers strumming along the stings on her guitar and singing her heart out into the mic. The smile that comes to her face when one of the boys says something is all I would need to see for the rest of my life. During one of the many breaks they were taking Y/N came over and wrapped her arms around my neck. She had ditched her hoodie long ago and now was just in her tank top. She kissed me and pulled back to rest her forehead on mine as my arms snaked around her waist. "Thanks for letting me come today." I whispered to her and I saw her smile. "Thanks for wanting to come. I really enjoy having you here. Its hard dealing with them all time." She laughed and a voice came from beside us. "I heard that Y/N." We looked over to see Jesse smiling with his tongue between his teeth. "You were meant to." Y/N replied with a laugh and me and her both knew he wasn't. 

"Do you want to come to our first show next week?" She asked me quietly and I pulled her in for a kiss. "I would love too." I replied and she smiled at me.
