My alarm goes off and I groan. I slowly sit up grabbing my phone and turning the alarm off. I throw my phone on the bed and rub my face.
"What time is it?" I turn to look at my boyfriend Daniel. Him and I have been dating for about a year but it feels like he is distant with me.

"It's 6:00" he runs his hand through his blonde hair.
"Why you up?"
"I've got work Daniel you know this" I say sighing.
"Ok yeah I forgot" I throw the bed sheets off me and walk to the bathroom.
"Can I join you?" I look back at him. He had a smirk on his face and I shake my head.

"Daniel I can't be late today" he groans as I close the door. I throw my clothes off and hop in the shower. It took me about 45 minutes to get ready. I grabbed an apple and my coffee.
"Bye Daniel I'll see you later" he smiles at me coming up to me and giving me a sloppy kiss which was just forced.

He pulls away grinning and I give him a small smile before grabbing my backpack and walking out.
"Bye!" He shouts. I take my keys out and walk down the hallway down the stairs and outside towards my car. I get in and drive with music filling my ears, I smiled even though I have boyfriend troubles at least my life is secure and I have a job.

I park infront of my work building and grab my backpack. I get out locking my car and walking inside the building.
"Morning bill!" I say to the security guard who smiles at me.
"Morning Betty!" I walk to the elevator hitting the button and stepping in. I breath in and out I hope today will be a calm day. I open my eyes when the elevator door opens wide.

Everyone was extremely busy as I make my way over to my desk. I take a seat but not before Kyle rolls his chair to me.
"Good morning Betty Cooper!" He says in his usual cheerful self.
"Hi Kyle" he raises an eyebrow at me.
"What's with you?" I shrug my shoulders.
"Nothing" he stares deep into my eyes and I give in.

"Daniel and I aren't getting along like we use to" he sighs.
"Girl you deserve someone way better then him" I shrug my shoulders taking out my laptop when Daisy walks up to my desk.
"We've got a big problem" I raise an eyebrow at her.
"You know all the work we have been doing on our recent project.....there taking it out" I shut my laptop quickly making Daisy jump at the sudden action.

"What?!" She runs a nervous hand through her hair.
"What are we going to do, all that hard work down the drain!" She says and I frown.
"Is there no way we can change it?" I say trying to have a little hope.
"Only if we speak with the big boss and they say she's the devil" I look over at the elevator.
"I'll go talk to her "
"What are you serious?!" I nod my head grabbing my folder.

"She can't be that bad, I'll just go talk to her and convince her to bring it back"
"You're crazy love!" We both turn to look at Kyle. I shake my head.
"Have any of you actually talked to the big boss?" They both shake there head.
"Then how do you guys know that she is bad?" Kyle shakes his head.

"Everyone tells story's about her and let me tell you they aren't good" I sigh. What other choice do I have? Daisy and I have worked so hard on this project to give up.
"I'm going anyway"
"Good luck!" Daisy and Kyle say at the same time. I walk over to the elevator and get in hitting the highest floor.

As the elevator was going up I started to get extremely nervous. Maybe this was a bad idea?
The door opens and I know there's no going back. I step out and walk to the receptionist who looks at me through her glasses, a bored expression on her face.
"Um hi" I say softly and she rolls her eyes.
"What do you want?" Even her voice sounded bored.
"I'm here to see Ms lodge" she looks through her list.

"You're name?"
"Betty....Betty Cooper" why am I so nervous?
"You're names not on here"
"Please I just need to talk to her for two minutes, my whole career is on the line"
"Ms if you're name isn't on the-"
"Please just two minutes not a second more, I'm begging you!" I say and she sighs.
"Two minutes" I nod my head smiling as she points down the hallway.

I walk down and there was pictures of previous boss on the wall and damn did they look like terrible people. I swallow hard arriving at her main door. I knock first when I don't hear anything I open it anyway.
"Just a moment!" A sweet smoothing voice says. I look around the office. It was very neat with white walls and a huge glass wall to look over the city by her desk.

I see black hair underneath a desk and I frown.
"Ahh hello" I say and that's when the women stands up and my jaw meets the floor. There stood a stunning women with dark hair and a fine face. Her makeup was flawless not that she needed it. She was wearing a white button up that just slightly showed her breasts. She had a black tight mini skirt that hugged every curve.

She smiles at me before laughing the cutest and most attractive laugh ever.
"Yes?" The smile was still on her face as I snap out of my fantasy and hug my folder to my chest.
"Yes....yes ma'am....I....I" she laughs again walking around her desk. She moves some things before sighing.
"Sorry about the mess I was just cleaning up" I smile finally finding my words.

"This is the cleanest place ever come to my place and you will see what a mess is" I nervously laugh. She laughs too before leaning against her desk.
"What do you need?" She says calmly.
"Oh yes...Ms Lodge you sort of took Daisy and I project out" she frowns.
"Which one?"
"The one about helping out the ocean animals and beaches" she raises an eyebrow.

"Talk about it" she says crossing her arms.
"What?" I say starting at her.
"Talk. About. It" I swallow hard.

"Look I'm not going to tell you all the theory behind it because I know you have heard it all before so, I grew up in a small place called riverdale but ever year my family and I would go to this place called jellyfish bay. It was heaven there but people stopped caring, they polluted the oceans and wiped out halve of the fish. I was broken in that moment I knew I had to do something about it. I started working here and Daisy and I have found new ways in which people can help, please we worked so hard on this"

"Okay I'll talk with the head department about bringing it back" I freeze nearly dropping my folder.
"You will?" She nods her head walking to me. Her perfume smelt so good.
"Yes, everyone who walks through my door give me the same bullshit but you're different. You're project will continue I'll make sure of it" I stare at her. Was it really that easy?

She grins at me her perfect teeth showing. Our eyes meet and I get lost in them.
"I'm going to need something though" I nearly melted on the spot at her flirty voice. Wait is my boss flirting with me?!
"Yes" I say softly. Her face scans my face as I put a piece of hair behind my ear.
"I need the folder" I snap out it completely. She took me off guard that I shake my head before looking back at her.

The flirty gaze was gone as she put her hand out. I smile giving the folder to her.
"Thank you" I say meeting her eyes again.
"No problem" she says walking to her desk and putting the folder down. Before I could say anything more there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" The receptionist sticks her head in and stares at me.

"Times up" I nod my head walking towards her.
"Wait!" I turn around to see Ms lodge looking at me.
"What's your name?" I smile
"Betty Cooper" with that I walk off, the receptionist quickly walking in front of me.
"Thank you" I say to her as I walk to the elevator.
"Goodbye Ms Cooper" the elevator door opens and I step in.

I can't help the smile on my face. Why did everyone think she was the devil?
She was so sweet. The door opens and I step out but I see Daisy and Kyle looking at me. Kyle smirks at me.
"She survived"
